RIP Mr. Walker. Your tenacity behind the wheel will forever be unparalleled on the big screen... Secondly, IMHO Tokyo Drift had NO right to be included in the F&F series......but at least it wasn't a complete bucket-of-shit-movie. Afterall, drifting is cool shit, just poorly portrayed in the movie. Lastly, BikerBoyz and Torque are the 2 worst attempts at motorcycle movie making I've ever seen.....but BikerBoyz is the superior flick of the 2. A damn good biker life movie is The World's Fastest Indian, cool oldschool LSR and actually based on the life history of Burt Munro.1 point

Sniper, only suggestion I have is put something under your tires to protect your flooring. I pulled mine in my last house over the winter and when I took it back out the tires had stained my tile and I was never able to get it out. not sure how or why just know that it did.1 point

wind-protection affects how much weight is or isn't on your wrists as well. I have never ridden a naked bike for long highway trips, but others have claimed that the wind in your chest at 70mph actually takes some weight off your wrists. the trade-off is neck fatigue, but I've had that on bikes with fairings anyway...1 point

Well we had our thanksgiving last night and things went well. Had 21 people and no one left hungry. Here's my brined turkey. Even the kids stuck around for the holiday..1 point

So I'm not normally a gadget guy, but my wife bought me the coolest bbq gadget to date. Its a thermometer that connects to your phone via bluetooth. Its dual temp and allows you to check temps of your smoking via an app on your phone, instead of being married to the smoker, watching the thermometer.1 point

I didn't either until I soaked them for at least 4 hours. Really the benefit seemed the chips didn't burn up as fast and put out a better even smoke1 point

Ya know, I'm still not sure about the whole soaking of the chips thing. It doesn't seem to make any difference. Maybe I just need to start soaking them longer?1 point

I have a theory. A theory that explains this giant mess all to well. Obamacare was fucked up on purpose. They purposely wrote a bad law. They did this to prove, Well to prove the only solution, is not the old way, not the current way, but the next way The next way of SINGLE PAYER.... If you have your health ID card you get treatment. Then we are all fucked. And the old way really wasn't that bad. If you got sick and needed $100,000 dollar surgery NO ABSOLUTELY NO doctor or hospital could refuse treatment. And when you can't pay the bill you simply call up the hospital and ask for easy payment terms of $20 dollars a month and they would take what they could get. You Obamacare leg jumpers do realize most hospitals are non profit right?1 point

No. There are no comparable plans. That's not how it works. There is "before" and "after". From now on, everything costs more. It has to, to pay for the overall cost of universal health care. It already has, will continue, and will increase. On top of what was steady increases anyway. It's not magic, some one somewhere has to pay for it, and it can't be done with just "young people who never bought insurance before". Call it sticker shock, it is the reality of what it is. The odd part is so many people that honestly thought it was free, or cheaper, or the same. Better or not isn't an issue yet, that plays out later, when it's seen whether it is truly better care or not. Personally I think the next effect will be a middle class panic about cash flow. Resulting in a drop in consumer spending. Expect a slowdown in GNP and a drop in the stock market, which is peaking anyway. Possibly another mini "recession".1 point
