I'm already a lot leaner than I was 3 weeks ago. Sticking to high reps/sets and lower weight. Also starting to do a lot with the balance ball and 1/2 balance ball for stabilizer muscles that are used when riding.

Ohio Riders Unofficial Mid-Ohio Track Day 2018
TimTheAzn replied to TimTheAzn's topic in Track is Crack
Ok guys and gals, we are going to do something for 1st and possibly 2nd timers (people who are new to track riding) the opportunity to do this day for free (in terms of track costs.) Back in 2016 @RHill (Ryan Hill) offered me a Mid-Ohio gift certificate so I could come out and ride the track the same day he was there ( I was a little tight on money at that particular time). I accepted this gracious offer and was going to pay him back with another cert the following year. Unfortunately I was never able to repay Ryan as he unexpectedly passed away that October. I'm not sure if I've ever met someone with the passion this guy had for all things track days and motorcycles. He was the first one to lend a hand and wanted everyone to have a good time. He was a staple in the paddock and is missed immensely. Since I was not able to pay him back, and I knew his passion for sharing his passion with other people., I am going to be giving away a Mid-Ohio gift certificate to a new track rider who would like to join us. I would prefer that person to be at least a member of OR since this is where details about this day will be posted etc. So if you had someone that was thinking about joining us for this epic day and is not a member, get them to sign up and post in here! You will have to let me know if this is going to be your 1st or 2nd time on track and I will keep a list of names and will draw a random number to determine the winner. No strings attached, and it's on the honor system in terms of how new you are to the track. I can't wait to get out there with you guys (since I wasn't able to ride last year). Update: Please post in this thread so I can keep track of the list.- 389 replies

I believe the zxr6 shock is a direct bolt on too. I thought I read somewhere that if I went gsxr, id have to cut the battery tray? Don't quote me on that though.

Keep the votes coming guys and gals! -
I believe the fork tube is slightly discolored. The seals seem fine. I'll have to check again come spring. Paul had just replaced them recently before I bought the bike. The suspension on that thing is so wrong for me, it's hard for me to tell if its just overly sprung front and back or what. I agreed to by a zx6 rear shock off @J_Copeland, hopefully that swap isn't too difficult and I can do it in my garage. I need to get that damn zx14 shock outta there, I'll hit a bump on the highway and if I compress the suspension just a tad, I'll launch the rear wheel off the ground (which is fun sometimes, but mid corner its downright scary.) After I get a more reasonable shock out back, I hope to get a better feel for what else needs to be changed or adjusted.

Front pads for an 06 gsxr 600. Rear pads for an 03 sv650. For a streetbike. Unless those are the wrong components @Danimal., Never know with this bike

I don't think it'll be that hard. I just don't think I've been riding at Mid-Ohio while he's riding at Mid-Ohio. Ib is a very nice guy.

....and the chase is on! But lets not forget what took place September 24, 2016

Bob is a great guy to have on track (the guy on the hp4 right?) smooth and predictable. Doesn't give a shit what group hes in, hes having fun!
-
I already don't pay attention to these because they don't ever offer deals like RD does. Only came in here because an IP thread got to more than 1 page.

Welcome (yea, I know its late, get over it.)

The only Ruger I'll buy is a 10/22. I don't care for the triggers on their handguns at all. Watching my buddy's BNIB (he cleaned and lubed before firing) Ruger ftf and fte with the ammo my glock, my buddy's glock, and my other buddy's MP ate just fine really turned me off to them.

He needs to be in TDJ Unleashed too, where all the funny trolls went after the creator of Trackday Junkies got soft as fuck.

We'll put my timer on you next year for a session or two, like we did before. That way I can pretend I ran a 47 .
-
Those look cheap, aka will explode as soon as something touches the pavement.
-
Is yours sidewayz too?
-
What lap timer did you have on your bike? We'll see what happens next year buddy, looking forward to having more people I know ride in the group I'm in! I'll probably only see Mid-O once or twice next year (like the previous years), so you better be quicker than me there!

Yes and Yes. I really enjoyed my time on those tracks, I was humpin around main pretty good when we went last. (As good as a person could be in their first full day in Intermediate.) Is it too early to start planning trips? lol.
-
Now that ya'll are in I. I look forward to some passing practice.

I swear I squeeze the lever harder coming to a stop at a stoplight on my sv. 1. Its doing it at speed is what fucks with me. Gotta give her a good pull and like you said, adjust accordingly.
