  1. According to the people of AR15.com it's not broken in until you throw it down the driveway.
  2. The handguard cap? I've not ordered it yet. I'll take it off your hands if you don't mind, thanks.
  3. I'm building a pistol. Already have a pile of spare parts I picked up on sale over time. Just ordered a 10.5" FN barrel, clamp on fsb and gas tube for $180 shipped. Picked up a stripped blem upper from psa for $40, upper parts kit for $25, and have the handguard sitting around that I may have paid $30 for, don't remember. Already have a good bcg to drop in, so just need that cap and muzzle device and the upper is done. I'm sitting on a pile of lowers, have a couple parts kits, just need to decide what I'm doing with the buffer tube.
  4. The advantage is price. The USPS is offering dirt cheap rates to cut a step out for UPS and Fedex, which saves them money.
  5. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it adds on days. UPS offers the same service.
  6. Exactly what I was looking for, thanks a ton. Is that secured in any way, or just loose? And does it matter what front sight base/gas block I use?
  7. I'm trying to do a dirt cheap build, which means running a standard front sight base to go with the magpul handguard that I've already got. Most barrels any more come with no gas block/FSB at all. All of the FSBs that I've seen for sale online don't seem to include the round plate that holds the drop in handguard in place. Am I missing something? Or should I just look harder for a barrel with one already on, or just say fuck it and spend the extra to get a low pro gas block and a rail?
  8. So if there was no doctor that performed an artificial insemination... how was it done? Either they banged, or they used a turkey baster, or ????
  9. Only thing to keep in mind is if you buy one of these and slap it on a normal lower you are guilty of manufacturing a short barrel rifle, which is a violation of the NFA and ten years in pound me in the ass prison. That being said - installing one of these on a lower in a pistol configuration, or on a legally registered and stamped SBR lower is good to go. If you don't know the difference, here's a good place to start reading: http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_3/122_AR_Pistols.html http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_6/50_Class_3_Legal_Issues_And_Questions.html
  10. Pics are too small, think you could enhance them?
  11. Since when? I thought their $30/month plan was for 100 minutes and 5 gigs of 4G.
  12. http://www.raleightacticalsupply.com/catalog/manufacturer.asp?content=Magpul&mfgid=7689&ret_id=1377119 I've ordered from them before, was quite happy.
  13. I've already learned this myself, the hard way of course. The other day at work my blood pressure went through the roof, I may have had a mini-stroke from it. When I finally made it to the doctor hours later it was still 180 over 106. I'm only 30 and now on blood pressure medicine. My mom just now thought it was relevant to tell me this runs in the family, so when I see my sister next week she's going to get a fun warning.
  14. Wrong section, so I'm moving this. I could be wrong but I believe the PRO is a 5" barrel where the standard fullsize is 4.25"
  15. It's slightly cheaper than a shield. Slightly heavier than a shield. Has no pointy edges. Is an uncommon design, so will have to wait and see if it's reliable. Very little recoil, although the shield isn't bad either. If the Remington is out in time I'm getting one for the gf for v-day, so after that you can compare the two yourself.
  16. It's a cartoon about a gay white rapper, made by the same people that do Archer.
  17. Judicial Watch did an FOIA on a bunch of emails going through Mayors Against Illegal Guns. Feel free to read up on their tactics, and pass this link along. http://www.judicialwatch.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/1978-Final-Response.pdf Here are some cliffs on what's in there: http://www.pagunblog.com/2014/01/09/skimming-the-maig-e-mails/
  18. I get stuck behind Fords on the backroads going slow more often than anything else, yet trying to pass them makes them road rage like no other. I'm to the point where I won't pass a ford because I don't want to get chased down or driven off the road.
  19. Lack of responses = lock time. Not even kitchen worthy.
  20. And the website is The Lightly Bruised Turnip. No similarities to The Onion whatsoever. This is either getting locked or tossed into the kitchen, which is it?
  21. I hated the Mazda 3 because the steering wheel was smashed up into the dash. Like it was designed for girls that like to sit as far forward as humanly possible, so they moved it up to keep them from getting killed by the airbag when they get into a wreck while seated like that. Anyway, for mid $20's you could get into a TDI Passat which would be a big step up from those other shitboxes.
  22. I think it's more amazing that he's still alive. As for his age, keep in mind Public Enemy first made it big in 1987, which is now 27 years ago. It's been a while.
