  1. Power popped off about 6 times so far. A few seconds each time. First one had a transformer explosion with it. The ice is light on the East side of Columbus. Not too bad so far. Storm radar shows most of the rain and ice didn't fall on most of Columbus.
  2. check continuity across the battery leads, key off, battery out. Just to eliminate the possibility of a short. I'm assuming there isn't a clock, of course.
  3. 12.5v is low, I think. I'd expect 14.5v a good charge on a good battery. I just checked three batteries sitting here. I get 14v in the bike battery and the car battery, and 15v in the bike battery I just charged. I'd check the stator output, if the battery is good. A short draining the battery is also possible, but you'd see lower voltage the next day.
  4. wtf ... it weighs 107kg? *calculates*.... 235.4 pounds ok, nm... that's how much the ENGINE weighs...
  5. Don't know yet. Have to wait till around 6:30am tomorrow. That is when they will decide. If you're not on the text message alert system, do it. It's working great.
  6. I think OSU closed for evening. CSCC closed at 5pm.
  7. I was the only one who came in for a while. We're now up to 4 people, with most calling in that they won't be in (wimps). Closed till 10am, I came in anyway. So it's me and a bunch of homeless from the shelter down the street. They are a little bit more obvious when they are the only ones here.
  8. I always enjoy aircraft funnies. But UPS isn't accident free. Close to it, but they have four on record. One takeoff, one landing, one cargo fire, and one terrorist explosion overseas.
  9. We have a winner. Everyone else, your sheep are calling...
  10. Word is already out that the advanced intercept and targeting radar suite of the F22, when scaled up to the larger radome and installed on an F-15, can see just about anything, stealth included, no exception for a J-20. Chances are good that a newer AWACS or AEGIS rig will see everything just fine.

  12. Skip the brownies and go straight for the cookies.. The order form for the cookies already circulated at work and is gone already...
  13. The tank of fuel in your truck lasts a good two months in the Summer... Your hands and feet twitch when you dream of motorcycles...
  14. no But I have been known to buy the chocolate chip cookie dough roll from the grocery cooler and eat it straight up cold...

  19. Disappointed. The old cannon was the best part.
  20. Big cement culverts on the sides of roads are sewage ditches... Places like that have open sewers along the sides of the roads. In cities they put flat cement plates over the little ditches, so people won't step in them. So people step ON THEM, and they break... which puts your foot in sewage... Yeah, I've done that. Don't step on the benjo ditch...
  21. Imagine the sudden shock of finding 4 vehicles wide on a three lane road, and all are barely in control, and one is a bus in the middle forcing everyone out of the way. Vehicles were diving off the road on both sides, going both ways...
  22. I know a few people that went on this ride. I haven't yet. Granted, it will be a lot of cruisers, but it's a huge escorted non-stop ride. I'm not sure how big, but it's been in the hundreds of bikes. I'd guess 300 to 500. The Red Cross ride in the Cleveland area, had grow to around 3000.
  23. That was a mechanic at the Buick shop on Hamilton, who found it. What I heard happen, is that on a trip into the shop, it was removed and returned to Buick. They put a standard carb on the car in it's place. edit: To be more specific, the owner returned to the shop and asked, since his gas mileage went down to normal. And they told him what had happened.
  24. hahaha, I know a little bit about exotic encapsulated aircraft fuels. It's an entirely possible technology. You won't find much, if any, information on the subject. What little I've seen on the internet, was removed. edit: this post will probably now be removed...
  25. Having driven cars and rode bikes overseas... this is all too common. Especially the passing of a bus as soon as you see it ahead of you. Regardless of line of sight or on coming traffic. My favorite was coming back from an all day adventure, all tired, and seeing a bus coming toward me on a wide straight road. And a car behind it going to pass it. And a car ahead of me going toward it. You can guess the free for all that occurred. I took a quick trip through a ditch (in a car). The surprise, the bus passed a car in front of him, while the car behind him passed the bus, into oncoming traffic ahead of me. Not what I wanted to see. And they probably all thought it was ok, since the road was so wide. Not to me, it wasn't. No better than a three lane road back home, with wet ditches on both sides.
