Since you'all never asked... Here's a website listing every computer game with motorcycles in it, 273 games, and which platforms they run on... http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=8&ved=0CFsQFjAH&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.giantbomb.com%2Fmotorcycle%2F93-366%2F&ei=iaE_TdfZCoPJgQefhujeAg&usg=AFQjCNFCld8OlHezfYnHsccxoGLzk77fnA found the link here: http://kotaku.com/5742917/the-truth-about-video-game-motorcycles?skyline=true&s=i edit2: a short wiki list of just the more serious ones: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Motorcycle_video_games DMOZ list:

  5. Dang it, I quit buying Levi's back around 1990, when Levi started cutting and sewing them different. Did not like at all. Dirt cheap disposable Wrangler and Lees for me.
  6. No problems here. Johnson & Johnson Acuvue 2, and can't even feel them when wearing. Almost no problems with dirt or grit messing them up. Good for several weeks, although they recommend using new ones more often. Dirt cheap and disposable. Not for sleeping all night, but I can do that. I wear cheap S&W safety glasses that fit close to the face for riding. Those are disposable also. Never a problem.
  7. Overly Repetitious Dorky Nerd Sorry, just the first thing that occurred to me
  8. I also work in a school. But we have our own police department. Most teachers would not want to carry. Regardless of the teacher's opinions, that's not the reason it won't happen. The schools do not want the liabilities that would result. It's somewhat different for adult education. There are military and law enforcement students and teachers that would be overly qualified. Doesn't matter, an adult campus is too large. A well trained rapid response team is the only thing that will work adequately. Personal carry in a large campus would only be personal protection. So the question really is, should all qualified individuals have the right to carry for personal protection, while at a school where it normally is not allowed. And I will have to say that there is a distinct different between a military response and a police response to any given situation. Results will vary. For the K-12 schools, I'll also say that in some states, or in rural areas, perhaps one or two teachers could openly carry firearms every day. I don't have a problem with that. But I would think that would be necessary only in places where off duty law enforcement are not available to work a shift there. It's really all about a show of force to deter crime by the students. That's why I said open carry. It has to be seen. And finally, if it's such a serious situation, I'd want all my teachers seriously trained in hand to hand combat.
  9. Just now getting around to reading this thread... So I have to ask... If guns in schools are bad, then why do we have armed off duty police officers in our public schools?
  10. Yeah, I was looking too. That and an older thread that might be gone. I think the car had to turn it's front wheels to actually roll over. But there is mechanical force and force applied. If we slap somebody, they have little harm. If we slap somebody with a kitchen knife, it's a total different outcome. The pressure at the point of impact is quite different. I guess I'm saying a bike is pointy on the front end. The Feds will learn of this, and require 6 foot wide safety bumpers on bikes...
  11. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mateba 1997 - Out of production. Very few made. Also flat sided cylinder. Barrel aligned with bottom cylinder. Auto loading revolver. (recoil operated cock and turn)
  12. It was probably a busted fuel pump or clogged fuel filter or dirty carb. But an enginerd would have rigged up a gravity fuel feed line from a decent tank above...
  13. Burn Victims In Bellevue Car Fire Were Filling Gas While Driving No way. An old van with a doghouse engine between the front seats, a bucket of gasoline, and pouring fuel into the open carburetor while driving down the road, to keep it running. Boom. http://www.kirotv.com/2011/0120/26557735_240X145.jpg
  14. Not this Tom. This Tom knows better. Another news source says it was a 60 year old man and woman in a Toyota. Minor injuries to car passengers, and minor to moderate to the rider. edit: And the bike didn't "clip" the car. It obviously transferred all it's energy, and bounced off. I really don't trust news reporting anymore. Lots of errors in reporting facts. Motorcyclist Leads CHP On High-Speed Chase Near Petaluma
  15. Yeah, that was from the two 60 year old guys they had to pry out of the car. The rider got tossed somewhere and also lived. edit: ummm, the shoes might be from the rider. I can see bike leathers at the bottom of the photo.
  16. Motorcycle pursuit ends in crash west of Petaluma Fleeing from a CHP stop, clipped the back corner of a car at about 100mph. http://www.pressdemocrat.com/apps/pbcsi.dll/bilde?Site=SR&Date=20110122&Category=ARTICLES&ArtNo=110129812&Ref=AR&MaxW=600&border=0
  17. I went to the "Art of the Motorcycle" exhibition in Chicago. There were huge lines of people to get in. It was presented in Chicago after opening in the Guggenheim in New York. A once in a life time event. The exhibition has closed, and is no longer on tour. I wish I had gone again, when it was in Memphis, Orlando, or Las Vegas. It was one of the top five exhibitions of all time, and broke various attendance records at most of the locations it was at. The Guggenheim showed 114 motorcycles. The Chicago exhibition showed 72 motorcycles. So 75 in the MV Agusta exhibition would be a lot. If you spend 6 minutes with each one, that would be 7.5 hours. Be aware that museums often do not allow photography. Partly to protect the art, and partly to promote sales in their bookstore. And the rights of the owners.
  18. I agree, maybe the darn brake is dragging or locked up on that wheel. The brake caliper piston could be seized or stuck... Even if it's a drum brake, there are ways to malfunction and do that. edit: oh and hey, check out the stupid parking brake. Sometimes the ones that use a cable get rusted up and won't let go. That makes the brake stay engaged a little or a lot. Usually yanking hard on the cable with vice grips toward the wheel, will free it up until the next time the parking brake is used.
  19. exactly that. The word seems to be that the XR1200 is shunned in the Harley crowd. So it does seem to be more about the image, and not the Harley name at all.
  20. I think they will sell for closer to $10k. Actually, I'd rather have the Forty-Eight 48 But the power is weak, the tank is small, and it won't lean very far. 568 pounds wet. 2011 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight 48 http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2011models/2011-Harley-Davidson-FortyEight48c.jpg
  21. I keep waiting for some one to post up. Nobody doing it... Newest Harley offering, a stripped down FXS 1584cc Blackline Still weighs 682.5 pounds wet. Dang... But it's got a 6-speed and lots of torque. And a re-designed tank. And for some reason, there is a lot of excitment about a black enameled headlight bucket. Mixed feelings about shocks that are horizontal under the suspension. 2011 Harley-Davidson FXS Blackline http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2011models/2011-Harley-Davidson-FXSBlacklined.jpg

    Wow!!

I have a Bally machine from the dawn of time with a full rack of cartridges... No clue what it's worth or if anyone would even want one. edit: Also a pong machine, the type that was hooked up to a tv. Yeah, I know, tons of them around. A dime a dozen.
  23. You're making me want to cut up one of my tanks. I got 4 tanks for my old CB550F. One is rusted out, it's a candidate for surgery. What can I say, they are hard to find in good condition. I grabbed them up when I saw them.
