  1. If I would have been content with a quickshifter I probably would have bought a Kawasaki Versys 1000 LT and added the product you posted or something similar to it. That bike is thousands cheaper and already has the side cases which I will eventually be buying for the new bike. Okay, really I wanted the extra 40 Hp / 50 lb weight loss of the new bike over the Versys plus the better brakes and was actually using the autoblipper as the excuse to justify the more expensive purchase.
  2. Can't put one on the RR because it's not a ride by wire bike. I still need something fast enough to cover the 120 miles of flat boring roads that I have to ride getting to a curve so I won't kill the bike running wide open.
  3. I am here for the quickshifter/autoblipper. This bike is going to allow me to keep riding because I'm pretty much done otherwise. My left hand just can't pull a clutch all day.
  4. Shhh, I have to justify it's existence. No one needs another sport bike when you get old. Right?
  5. This might be happening now and even with a ride down instead of trailering. Gotta try out the new bike/learn how to ride it somewhere and what a great place to get familiar with it. I know, I know take it easy, work up to it, have emergency funds which are hard to come by after buying a new bike. Maybe I should ride alone? This is so hard to think about maybe it won't be that fun with all of this pre ride pressure.
  6. That's the sales tactic I intend to take. I'm just an old gray bearded guy that just rides on the weekends. Don't be a sucka
  7. We have a winner. It's time to slow down on an old mans bike.
  8. Correct. Answer to that will be only one guess left. Heated grips should be sufficient to end this game.
  9. I considered that option especially after my nephew bought one last year. After riding his I thought that would be a good next step but not being able to pull a clutch all day kept me from going that route. You are correct though, there are some great deals out there on them.
  10. http://trialsinc.org/?trigger=hof I have a 2003 trials bike that hasn't been ridden in almost five years that I could let go.
  11. That is a wrong guess, like, way, way wrong.
  12. I have a new to me bike, just bought it today. CBR will be for sale sometime this year after I get around to washing it. I hope to get back to riding a lot more this year, now I have to with a new bike.
  13. Not sure what's going on here but surely @Tonik can't be the only one with grievances about how certain group rides take place. Why does he get to be the only whiner? I personally don't have a problem with a group of ten riders as long as the sweep rider knows the route and is the same level rider as the lead guy. I took a few years off from riding lead in a group (with the exception of small sections of road that I liked) and never once knew the route but then I didn't need to since the lead guy knew how to handle the group properly. Just about any level rider can be expected to show up for a publicly posted group ride unless the posted pace specifically excludes their abilities. Even then a ride descriptor is subject to interpretation and by the first gas stop an outlier should be clearly identified. A fast pace for a long time seasoned rider is different for a one or two year rider. I've made many concessions for riders that didn't fit in with the group and if you are unwilling or unable to figure out how to handle such situations maybe you shouldn't be making group rides public or trying to lead them.
  14. @OsuMj & @snot need to be the scantily clad official Umbrella Girls!
  15. There should be trophies. One for the biggest crash too. Lifeflights are extra special bonus points.
  16. It's a well established fact that Marines are assholes so there's that fact to help explain poor decision making.
  17. Speed contests on a public road is a stupid fucking idea!
  18. It is when you know about it. When caught out by surprise if feels like ski jumping. Where you are going to land is a mystery, a dangerous mystery.
