Try a RAM u-bolt mount and mount the ball piece on the tank bolts. Does your tank have two bolts at the front? If so, you just browse the catalog for the right size bolt size but you may need to dremel it a bit to fit.

VFRs rock. I might get something else but I'll most likely always keep this one. I can't imagine parting with mine for something like $4,500 - which is about all I'd get. Then again, that may be why you don't see a lot of 'em up for sale.

Used it maybe three times. Usually, once I get r running and all plugs set up, the power comes back on. Did use it for like 5 hours once with no problems.

Gen 3 VFR is probably the best looking of the series. Gear driven cams and the muchly purdy 8 spoke rear rim.

The NC7 doesn't channel anything else except maybe a standard. Honda puts it in an adventure category - whatever. Seems like an unpretentious all around bike you hop on and go someplace with.

I'll wait and see how the two bikes work out. I'll may be stepping down from the VFR in a year or two. It's a ton of fun but I'm coming up on 50 and leaning over that far for hours at a time is punishing. Plus it's a much better bike than I am a rider. The NC7 just looks like my speed now. Lower revs, good torque, upright position, a bit lighter. The weestrom has the same advantages except it revs higher (more power but also sucks a bit more gas.)
