  1. I also have an EXO-500. Great helmet for the $$.
  2. Scorpion helmets do need a break in period. The fit shouldn't be painful. But if a new helmet feels too snug, it will probably break in to be just right.
  3. I'm on the other side of 40. 500 miles on a 600RR? No problem:)
  4. I'd buy if you were closer.
  5. I would trust a used CBR over the ZX. Also, Honda's hold their value much better. If the CBR is less and same condition, I would jump on it
  6. Not mine. Looks like it could be had on the cheap. I'd turn this into a twisty machine if I had the time. Some carb work and some plugs... . http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-CB-1990-Honda-CB-1-Sport-Bike-streetfighter-naked-bike-400F-rare-bike-NC27-/131162418983?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1e89e3af27&item=131162418983&pt=US_motorcycles
  7. How much power does it make? Something like 110 hp, 65ft/lbs?
  8. I think 2000 was before Triumph really started growing in the US. Maybe some people aren't familiar with that generation S3???
  9. It would be pretty tough to find a better bike for the $$
  10. Meet me on rt 78, right before the high speed sweepers
  11. Very nice Joe Rocket Leather Jacket. The leather is thick, soft, and in perfect condition. The collar snaps down so it doesn't 'flap' in the wind. It could pass for brand new. Worn once or twice, then I sold my Bonneville America and it's been hanging in the closet since. It has a removable insulated liner. Good ventilation: zipper vents on the back and under the sleeve, and small perforated panels at the gusset. MSRP was $399.99. Will accept any decent offer. This has nothing to do with this post, but it's was a good looking bike
  12. Any grip issues on the track? I've pushed them hard on the street. I can get the rear to go into a controlled slide around 34 psi. I'm sure I could get more grip with lower pressure, but it would cost some tire life.
  13. The PR3 and now PR4 are probably the best in wet. The PR2 lasts a bit longer than the PR3. I think the Angel GT is the best for long life and dry grip...but honestly any of PRs or the GT are really, really good.
  14. For Sport Touring tires, Pirelli Angel GTs are about as good as it gets. Michelin Pilot Road 2, 3, or 4 are also really good. I've never been a fan of Bridgestone, but I would take them over Dunlops.
  15. Yes. It's still under warranty, so I could take it to the dealer. I really don't want to be without a bike since the weather is finally acceptable.
  16. I considered this. This was my first semi long ride after that gawd-awful winter.
  17. What could make the clutch pull feel significantly stiffer? I rode about 250 miles today and by the end of the day my forearm was on fire. I've had clutch cables go bad before, but I don't think that's the problem this time. I just lubed and adjusted the cable. The cable moves freely, but the pull is still really stiff. It a 2010 CBR600RR (new last June) and it only has 4,300 miles on it.
  18. If I can make it out, it would probably be Sunday morning @ B&T.
  19. I may need to order online. None of the local shops have anything like that.
  20. This is a 5 1/2. I would imagine it could drop a deer at 75+ yards with the right loads. I've fired a a few different 44 mags. I am trying to get to the range this weekend. All I have are some crappy Blazer 44 mag rounds. I need to find some hot +P ammo for the full experience.
  21. What is deer legal size in Ohio? 5+?
  22. He french fry'd when he should have pizza'd.
  23. Cleveland used to be the biggest city in Ohio. I believe Cleveland used to be the 4th biggest city in the US (to the web fact checkers), but that was a long time ago. The city of Cleveland has lost a lot of it's population to the surrounding suburbs. The entire urban area population is still fairly large, but Cleveland proper population has been dropping for a few decades.
  24. Any city should welcome the convention & the millions of dollars it would bring to local businesses.
