  1. Tony, I did 83 to 78 recently prior to that I hadn't been on 83 south of Coshocton. About half of the distance from Coshocton to 78 is new pavement very nice. I have not been on 83 south of 78 and that is why it is on this route.

Looks like we are going to do 8-2 I will start a new post about this later tonight. What are your guy’s thoughts about including 536 or not?

I was planning to ride into WV on Sunday with at least 1 other guy. Our route home from Marrietta is pretty much the same as what you mentioned...26, 800, etc. Perhaps we can meet for the return trip.

btw, I would say skip 536. not really that much fun.

  2. I'm leaning toward 8-2 also I just checked the weather and it looks good for that day. The route is 398 miles from 82 & 83 and back. 83 to 550 to 26 to 800 to 7 to 255 to 800 to 250 to 83. This can be changed up if you guys from up here want to do 536. Where 26 runs into 800 instead of going down 800 to 7 we could take 78 to 536. I don't care which route as long as we keep 255 in it. There has been a lot of talk about 536 so I understand folks wanting to check it out.

How is that southern stretch of 83? I haven't ridden it in about 2 years, it wasn't in very good shape back then.

The 1st 15 miles of 26 out of Marietta is recently repaved and very nice.

  3. Curiosity is peeked.

There were adds with the Blast cube in a few motorcycle rags. Seemed like they were setting the stage for new model to replace the Blast...but the 2010 models are on Buell's website as of yesterday with nothing new to be found.

If there isn't a replacement, that is an interesting way to announce that a model is being discontinued.

  4. (202): therell be strippers and coke right?

    (703): no strippers. just coke.

(202): i hate this fuckin recession

    (214): dude. I'm so drunk.

(972): pete, this is bryce's mom

(214): I can't wait to have my cock in your ass

(972): pete, this is still bryce's mom

(757): I forgot i ate a salad for dinner, so while i was barfing in his toilet, i kept screaming "i ate leaves?? i cant believe you let me eat leaves!"

  5. I told one of my girlfriends via e-mail that, because it was a nice day, I rode my bike to work this morning. Her response:

"Damn JJ, you are manly as fuck. Are you a lesbian now or something? Regular women don't ride motorcycles.. is there something you need to tell me?"

***SIGH** she didn't even "LOL" :(

She's jealous. Chicks on bikes are hawt.

  6. Obviously' date=' you've never witnessed a prosecutor try to convince a Grand Jury that you aren't competent enough to handle the firearm you used. It isn't cut and dry like you might think it is. With the passage of 'castle' we got a leg up in the defense area but it still isn't gravy by any means.

Being able to convince a jury that you are as competent and trained as possible goes a long way on your behalf.

I don't care what class you guys take. It's a free country.. do as you please. I was just offering a little insight since I kept hearing 'cheaper is better' and since that usually doesn't apply in the real world why would it apply now?? Don't get the idea that you know everything about firearms and the laws that concern them. This isn't target shooting at grandpa's farm. We're talking deciding to carry a gun that you may have to use to defend your life or the life of another person. If you are ok with a 'cheaper is better' outlook when considering these possibilities then, by all means, have a ball. Just be careful and make sure you cross reference EVERYTHING your instructor has to say. You'd be surprised how many don't know what the fuck they are talking about.[/quote']

    +1

Prosecuters will twist everything they can...

If you use a hot load or a high end hollow point, they will paint you as a cold blooded killer saying that regular rounds aren't deadly enough for you.

  7. Hey Tony, roughly what time will you be passing through Beach City - I could meet you there? I would like to join this ride - I've ridden a few roads in that aree before but would love to check out the ones the locals rate highly.

    Bill,

I'm 50/50 for this ride, I'll let you know if I'm going for sure. I was trying to remember how long it takes to ride from Bolivar to Coshocton via 93. It's a little over an hour if memory serves.

  8. It depends what kind of riding you like to do.

Do you want to reach a destination, or do you want to ride fun, curvy roads?

I've done two trips through WV and VA that were about 2,000 miles over 4 days. There are some amazing, unknown backroads in that area. Seneca Rocks & Canaan Valley (WV) are great motorcycle destinations.

One of these days I'm going to ride to Vegas.

  9. I've ridden that area, but it's been about 3 years. If I can make it, I'll prolly take 93 from Beach City to Coshocton.

Any idea how long it takes to ride the loops around Coshocton?

Oh...and it looks like there will be a big turnout. How did they organize the ride last time? I'm guessing they split into a few groups.

  10. grown men shouldnt own cats ! :D

that pass was dirty call it out braking if you want but many other riders could pull that of too they just choose not to if he'd have done that to a lesser rider than hacking he'd have crashed him and prolly got someone hurt

    +1 for the cats

Eslick showed Hacking his front wheel 3 or 4 times in that same turn earlier in the race. Hacking must have known it was coming. Call it aggressive or dirty, he got the win.

Nevermind...I just found out that Buell uses a larger displacement front wheel than the rice rockets. AMA, Elvis, George Bush, and the aliens in Area 51 are all in on it...this is huge...conspiracy, conspiracy, conspiracy.

    :violin::violin::violin::violin::violin::violin::violin::violin::violin:

  11. his bike wasnt twice the size.

doesnt buell make a 900 or something?

    edit found it...

why not race the xb9sx? its close to the displacment of the other 600's in the class...

wait its cuz buell and dmg are f'buddies and they know buell cant build a competive bike...

    An air cooled twin...really?

Come to think of it...the Triumph 675 should be on the podium every race. After all it has a displacement advantage, and that's the only thing about racing I can understand.

  12. u think that extra hp didnt close the gap down the back straight??he went from 4-5 bike lenghts to zero and he braked before hacking!

I think a track like Mid-Ohio (not a top speed track) favors twins...just like Road America favors I4s. I think that is pretty damn equal.

Comparing displacement across different engine configurations is basically meaningless. Dynamic displacement is a far better measure.
