  1. Well, you ARE the rainmaker... Nice toy! It's probably faster than my Ninja 250.
  2. Is that his winning Wheel Horse in the background?
  3. The Leek seems to do pretty good at holding an edge. Most other cheaper knives that I've had required a touch up on the sharpening almost weekly. I go MUCH longer with the Leek. Which reminds me, I need to sharpen the one that I carry! That said, what does everyone use to sharpen? (Ugh, another oil, tire, gun lube, etc... question!)
  4. Under warranty? Get it in and and at least on record that there's an issue, that way if something breaks shortly out of warranty, there will be a record of it and SHOULD make it easier to get it covered. Unless it truly is that your hands have turned into girl hands...
  5. I picked up one of the CRKT's as well. I haven't used it. I actually got it to give as a gift, but ended up getting something else, I think. I don't think I would have it as a EDC, since I would REALLY miss the speedsafe opening of the Kershaw.
  6. That describes me, and I have never tried the stuff! Ok, except the hyped up part, that's a very rare thing...
  7. Same here. I have one that I EDC, and another that sits in the toolbox for when this one gets dull and I need it in a pinch, as happened Friday. I really didn't like the way that the speedsafe worked on either one when I first got them, but the oldest one broke (that's how I ended up with a second) so I sent it in for repairs and it came back working perfectly. Now I need to break the other one (or just send it in anyway) to have it working as well as the first. LOL
  8. This happens all the time... With cheap remote start units. I have installed several of them through a former employer, and after realizing the questionable quality, we quit installing them, since people didn't want to pay the price for a quality unit, and it was just an added service that we provided anyway. I have a high end Viper on my car, remote start and alarm. I bought it used from the owner of a car audio shop that was closing, installed it myself, and have been using it for probably 7 or so years, with only one glitch, one time, that I think ended up being my fault. I have to agree with what I have heard from many people, and that is to not go just anywhere. I avoid the big box stores like Best Buy, unless you know someone there that has a great reputation of excellent quality. Also, I have heard the horror stories of shady shops programming an additional remote and stealing your stuff (the employees, not the shop.) All of this sort of stuff I take care of myself.
  9. Evidently Micro$oft knows to not defrag a SSD. I didn't realize that they automatically had it in the schedule to defrag, so I went in to look at that, and it doesn't have my SSD selected, even with "all drives" selected for defragging. Interesting.
  10. Networking can be a huge help! I ran into a friend that I had not seen in a few years (at the pet store,) and well... I had better not fill in the blanks publicly yet.
  11. While I typically detest HP, their Probook line is pretty decent, and you can get some good deals on refurbs at Microcenter. I'm not much of a fan of the Celeron, or even the Pentium Dual cores, either.
  12. A department head that I worked for several years ago once told me to ALWAYS keep your resume updated. We were talking about something happening in the company, and I jokingly asked if I should update my resume when he told me this. He was not kidding by any means, and he was not saying that something was going down. It was a general bit of advice that he was offering. To this day, I frequently make updates to my resume (probably not as often as I should) and I keep an eye out for new opportunities. I'm not unhappy at my current job, but then again, I've not been happy with the instability in my line of work, and the toll that it's is taking on me physically. Therefore, I do keep my eyes peeled for opportunities in other lines of work, or something "better" (straight pay rate, less physical) in my line of work.
  13. The Play store rejected it, I haven't tried any other way of loading it so far.
  14. I still haven't rooted my tablet, pending the soon to come kit-kat update that we're supposed to be getting. Maybe I'll root my EVO LTE and load it up on it, or at least try it out on the old deactivated EVO LTE.
  15. And it's not compatible with their tablets. Boo... I was going to load it on my Galaxy Tab 3.
  16. Some people don't care for Sense from HTC or Touch-wiz from Samsung, but from what I've seen, they're about the best Android phones out there, Samsung probably edging out HTC, especially most recently. I personally think Motorola has dropped the ball since they started making Android phones.
  17. Good to know! I'm glad there's and old school bike shop still around.
  18. I still can't quite like that front fascia. It looks too much like a "ricer" body kit. The only people I know that do car track days do so at mid-o.
  19. I'm a big fan HTC's phones, my past 3 have all been HTC, but since getting the galaxy tab 3, I can see that Samsung has it going on! I'm on Sprint, and he EVO LTE has served me well for almost 2 years, no case or screen protector, and it's still in pretty good shap, other than some wear from being in and out of my pocket several times a day. I took over the kid's EVO LTE when he proved that he couldn't handle having a smartphone, which is only a few months old, so I'm good for a while. I'm also impressed that they are still updating the phone. No kit kat, but the latest ICS will do. Basically what I'm saying is that all that you have listed should serve you well. Find which one you like best, and you'll be fine.
  20. Yes, that does happen everywhere, even in small businesses. I have experienced it firsthand, many times.
  21. I guess it's time to pack up, head to NC and start NCriders. Or everyone just scatter and call it NOR - NOT Ohio Riders! LOL Seriously though, NC would be near the top of my list if we were to decide to get out of Ohio.
  22. I have to respectfully disagree with that. The factory that I spent 9-1/2 years in was piece work (incentive system is what they called it) and the quality went into the crapper when they did away with it. People were pissed that they were dropped to their base pay rate, and morale was low, causing quality issues left and right. The magic number to stay below was 140% of rate. Anything higher would raise flags, a time study would happen, and rates would go up, and piss of everybody else. There were guys that could exceed 140% easily, and they knew the system well enough to know how long they could socialize and still turn in 140%. By the way, that company is gone from the US, with the exception of their main offices which are now located up on Sancus. Thanks to NAFTA, MY job, and most of my friends' jobs from there went to mexico, and some even went further, to China.
  23. Buy your own modem and save a few dollars a month? I wish I had done that LONG ago. It would pay for itself in just over a year.
