  1. I've seen that car around when I worked in Columbus. I think the owner was friends with or related to the guy that managed the transmission shop next to where I worked. Either that one' date=' or a Vette with CYU L8R is friends with a guy I know! I worked with a guy guy that had ZMBKILR on his H3. He was into machine guns and had many NFA weapons and devices. I'll dig up a pic sometime. [img']https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-rs1Gpdi7-g4/T-OxsHn6tMI/AAAAAAAAA5Y/7lpfU5Gqg6s/s800/IMAG0019.jpg I should really pay more attention to this thread, since I work on cars for a living, I see some interesting ones.
  2. I know exactly what seal you're talking about! I have one for my 500, but I "fixed" it an easier way. You have to find an o-ring that fit's on the shaft tightly, and you have to work it down in between the seal and the shaft. I think it might still be seeping a little bit, but a gusher of a leak as it was before! Someone buy this bike! The things that it needs shouldn't be bad at all to fix!
  3. I thought it was sharks with frickin' lasers.
  4. The first problem I see is that you'll be paying a HOA fee. Move outside of the city, where you can shoot off your back porch!
  5. Broke halfway to the goal! Come on guys er... tightwads, we can blow this out of the water!
  6. This turned into a very informative thread! That is a rarity around here! From what I'm hearing, if Chris were to refine his body position he would be faster than fast, and the fast riders that I know say he's fast? As for my chicken strips, they be a cluckin'! Went on the CSBA ride Saturday down through Hocking and the bike was all over the place. I think it was a tire pressure thing, I'm dealing with a tire gauge that I'm not sure I trust here recently. Even with that, and my total lack of confidence after a bad section of road, factoring in "closer to correct" body position instead of being crossed up, I think I was much better off than last year. I just need to get my confidence back up, and sort out the (possible) tire issue and I should be good. I'll post pics later, but I'm sure they don't count, since I ride a 250.
  7. I'm slightly less disappointed, now that it's getting close to $500.
  8. Very good on them! If you had driven down to where I work (another Chevy dealer) we probably could've had you out by noon though! I wish all dealerships were like this. The one I work for is pretty good, too. I think it has to do with the smaller town thing. Word travels fast in small towns, bad stuff even faster than good stuff!
  9. I saw that you had replied and figured you were backing out on the ride! I'm gonna hate getting up that early on a day off.
  10. The primary problem is the oiling. Since the cams and followers aren't hardened as deeply, they fail pretty quickly, and that's where the poor metallurgy claims come from.
  11. There's all sorts of info floating around on VFRWorld about this, some good, some totally wrong. You have to really sift through it, and figure out who to believe!
  12. Pretty much all I have read is that it's ALL of the VF's, even my 500.
  13. I figured the OR troops here would have had this well past the goal by now.
  14. Confirmed yesterday that my boss had surgery this week to remove a cancerous tumor. He's not exactly my favorite person, but I would never wish this on anyone, and I am praying that all works out for him. So yeah, this disease impact my life, and fairly often at that. Side note: My family has been attending several fundraisers that are being arranged by some friends' local relay for life team. Last night the local Wendy's contributed 15% of their sales from 5-8pm to their team, all of which goes to the American Cancer Society. They have a hog roast and auction coming up in a couple weeks out here that I plan to attend as well. I try to help where I can!
  15. I'm glad I don't have $500 right now! I would be all over this thing. I love the Honda V4's, and would have another project on my hands that I wouldn't get to for a while.
  16. My wife works at a Kroger store with 15 years in. They're a pretty good company to work for. I also know at least one person that works at their warehouse in Delaware, if you don't get enough info I can see if I can ask him on FB.
  17. Does that mean you'll be there? The sad thing is that Todd has probably put more miles on his bike than me this year... And he's only had it out for less than a week! I have things arranged so that I can attend, and the cobwebs dusted off my riding abilities (what little bit I have) so all I need is for my legs to recover from the workout Saturday, and I'm good.
  18. Just make sure you get the heavy side (there will be one much heavier than the others, I'm guessing) over the big wheels, or it's going over!
  19. Does the whole car look that clean? I really need to get my thirdgen Camaro back on the road...
  20. I've heard similar stories from people that have had just about every other brand of vehicle out there.
  21. Is it legal for them to go checking your bank records like that without your knowing?
  22. It sounds like Sasquatch is easier to deal with!
  23. It looks as though that's to the outside of the impact beam, and most cars would suffer the same fate. It's amazing the amount of strength that a round object has, but I know I don't need to tell the OP about that! Oh, and on the bowtie/junk comment, that looks like an Aveo, which is a Daewoo with a Chevy badge on it. I work on them, but I don't claim them as a true Chevy!
