I bet Honda figures that 50% of the market is going to dump the stock exhaust can no matter what, so they design the cheapest legal option to get the bike out the door. As a btw, the 5th gen exhaust cans bolt directly to the 8th gen and visa versa. Cool! I admit I went and looked at one, and its quite an attractive bike. I like it, but for the damn VTEC. -- Maybe there might be a future 5/8ths VFR coming to my garage in the future.

I'm with you too --- I would love a chance to wring that Busa for some serious adrenaline. But when it come down to it, bike wise, I have always have been a twistys junkie. Give me miles of nasty twists and I'm in nirvana.

One of my neighbors has a tricked out Busa and that thing flat out hauls ass. He passed me on the hwy at full bore and holy shit, it sounds like a champ car. BUT, on the way back from the ride, I took the lead and cut through some local twists. Busa guy couldnt handle it. 100hp VFR guy looses 200hp Busa guy.

Pass! There are other bikes in better shape. You will dump money into it and end up spending more bucks than if you found one in great shape.

Honda electrics ..... grrrr Ideas - -Take apart the switch gear and clean out the connections. -- Double check battery.... charge overnite and then get load tested. --- Have seen screwball lights/dash behaviour with iffy charging system garbage..... Do a quick idle and 5000 rpm volt check. (multimeter needed) --- check stator connector..... and check grounds....

That's the DoD procurement system - order and build more equipment than really is needed. Give away the extra or scrap the extra stuff. Brand new planes end up being flown to the Arizona boneyard. Tanks? The Lima tank plant is a perfect example. We have a warehouse of tanks that arent needed, yet we keep making them for the sake of making them. Billions - wasted.
