  1. I know someone who makes the stuff for mil-spec apps...
  2. So whadif -- this something I have been wondering about -- a combination of composite fibres, and figure out to get a ceramic weave in it and autoclave the thing? Probly simular to armoring a limo.
  3. Interesting thread... Ever consider Kevlar?
  4. Honda electrics ..... grrrr Ideas - -Take apart the switch gear and clean out the connections. -- Double check battery.... charge overnite and then get load tested. --- Have seen screwball lights/dash behaviour with iffy charging system garbage..... Do a quick idle and 5000 rpm volt check. (multimeter needed) --- check stator connector..... and check grounds....

  6. A Bandit1200 comes to mind, the classic big UJM. Or jump to a FJR1300 or ST1300 or all out to a GW.
  7. That's the DoD procurement system - order and build more equipment than really is needed. Give away the extra or scrap the extra stuff. Brand new planes end up being flown to the Arizona boneyard. Tanks? The Lima tank plant is a perfect example. We have a warehouse of tanks that arent needed, yet we keep making them for the sake of making them. Billions - wasted.
  8. Anybody in Dayton area know where I can get 3 or 4 hours use of a car lift? thxz
  9. Omg, that's so sick it's hilarious... That's about the equivalent of politics in America. - I think that they should just intravenously use vodka, OD on alcohol....
  10. That is the aspect I despise the most. Being a civil complaint, it makes the camera company party to each violation. Now how the hell by any law, can a private company charge individuals for a traffic violation? That just pisses me off. (I want that gig)
  11. I have used throttle rockers for years with no problems. While cruising, you can keep the throttle open with two fingers on the bar end and your thumb on the rocker. Then when it gets twisty time, just move over and grab the grip like normal. Also have used various locks and they are great for the long haul. On my Valk, I have it set as a dead man's throttle... i.e. the lock is set somewhat snug where the throttle stays where you put it. Its ez to roll down the road hands off. Then, you have to remember to shut down the gas when slowing down. No big deal, once you get uses to it.
  12. How much weight do the beads add to a tire?
  13. Very cool dude! Post up the dyno charts when you got em.
  14. For $99 bucks, it looks like good information whether you get the cert or not. - If you want to get the cert, the PMP is very good to have. The CAPM is kinda like a PM in training cert. - Stuff you gotta have for the the PMP - 4500 hours of actual PM experience that you can document and is auditable. They pull 15 percent of applications and verify the info on them from former bosses and co-workers. -35 hours of class room work that is focused on the PMP exam. - Filled out application. - Its a nasty 20ish pager - Pay your $400 bucks and get an exam date. -No matter what you do, the exam is a bear, and you would need to study your ass off. There are online practice tests and you should do plenty of them before going for the real thing. There may be a PMI chapter where you live and you should hook up with them. - Join PMI.org and get going. In the long run, it will pay off. -------------------------- - Adding from note with Tonik, yeah 99 bucks is absurdly cheap, typically you will spend $2800 -$4000 to get this done.
  15. Well a friendly ribbing.... from your posts its seems most stuff sucks to you anyhoo. - Engine wise, I was just enjoying some engineering creativity, good, bad or indifferent.
  16. It's not a Wankel engine like a Mazda RX7 type. Totally different design.
  17. That's an interesting concept, very cool.
