Kinda agree with that. I have had 3 jobs in the last 2 years. I am an engineer/project manager and none of the jobs turned out to be close to what the companies said they would be like in the interview. Even in my current job, its way far from what they told me it was supposed to be. I'm back to another stay or go conundrum.

If you can, ride a 5th gen before you buy. '98s and '99s are the most coveted 5th gens. The RC30 for me would be the holy grail........

I've changed jobs several times in the last 3 years and every time, I had to do an I-9. Its a proof of citizenship status doc for the Homeland Security department. The person starting the job has to provide 2 photo IDs to proof legal status. The employer has to sign off that they inspected the photos and sign it as certification.

I am also following both - Lit at $24 will make it end up a low volume fad. And its fugly. - Then Elio at under $10k would def sell a few, I think Elio was stupid to publish seemingly unobtainable goals of $6800 price tag and 80ish mpg. Stupid marketing. No doubt more than a few engineers are cursing thier ass. Still I put my hundred bucks down on one. If it ends up under $8500 and gets in the 50mph range, it hits the mark for a good commuter vehicle.

Admittedly I am a 5th gen addict, but near all 6th gen guys spend $ and time to get the VTEC less bothersome. I did spend around 1200 miles on a 6th and that cured me from wanting one. The 5th gen powerband is just seamless bottom to top, no modding required out of the box. - So what do the total VFR crazys do? Install a 5th engine in a 6th gen bike. 6th gen weight? Try around 554 lbs wet. ---5th? 517 lbs wet.

What about Batelle? Or DoD focused companys...Maybe around Wright Patterson AFB Dayton. - PhD mechanical engineer? Yeow! Heady stuff!

I'm cleaning it up because that whole surface is exposed. Its butt ugly and has been bugging me since I have owned the bike. Stupid Honda did a beautiful job making the right side of the bike look nice and blingy and pretended that the left side didnt exist. So I want to clean up the inner hub area and then I'm going to polish it out. ----Brakes are disc brake, the rotor is a donut and bolts to the outer bolt pattern. (Rotor polished, brake plate has been chromed, caliper TBD) On material thickness the area I most wanna verify what is there is the OD ring or step on the outside of the lettering. By the fat finger approach it looks around a quarter or 3/8 inch, but I got the scrap wheel for free, and cutting it is painless, may as well take a look. -You got it right that the cush drive is on the other side......

I suppose your right, being the OCD type, I would have to check the setup........ Any ideas on who could do the big ass band saw job? Destroy my wheel, fun job!

Yeah I hear ya, but my first choice is a lathe set up so the cut is very uniform in reference to center.

Hey - I'm looking for a machine shop with a lathe large enuff to do some very minor machining on a cruiser wheel around Dayton or in the area. I have a scrap one so first I want to cut it in half via band saw to check material thicknesses in the hub area, and then with my good wheel, just clean up a chamfer in the casting transition on the outer edge and center - hub area still, and then just kiss the raised cast letters off the hub. Very simple job, but a little care required. Pics are the junk wheel.
