  1. Esapism- awesome, that's what its about. The wind, the g's, your skill. Your life is in your hands. You're in the moment, nothing else matters. Dammit c'mon spring!
  2. http://vimeo.com/andrewdavidwatson/waitingoutwinter Yeah, its kinda like that...
  3. Damn - still for sale? Stopit.
  4. Looks to be a top veiw of the thing. Could be something like the LIT motors faux motorcyle thingy.
  5. Lotsa ISR activity going on - with focus on the terrorist and counterterrorist arena.
  6. Damn that looks fun, its been way too long since I've been on a dirtbike.
  7. Ive heard Charleston SC is a hot area to live. Many businesses want to locate there. I think BMW is located there, quite a few others.
  8. Some ideas…….Engineering jobs in motorcycling are of the scarce variety. That said, look into racing, parts suppliers, or major OEMs. Since you are into Computer engineering figure an angle on how to apply that to motorcycles. See if you can contact great motorcycle type engineers - i.e. Bazzazz, ask if you could pick their brain. Get some EE courses too. Electric motorcycles at some point will hit the landscape and will need engineers to help. -- All this will apply to automotive engineering too. With all that – keep working on computer engineering. The massive wave of leading edge devices and IT seems to have no end in sight. Good luck
  9. 20thGix did a great job! Professional and fast. Asked me to post some pics so... 2 cent story - I hated the linked brakes on my 5th gen viffer and to ditch them, I used VTR lower fork legs on VFR800 upper tubes. With that, RC51 calipers mount up with minor mods. The VTR fender wont mount up, (VTR triples are narrower) so I did CMM measurements of the VFR and VTR lowers, and designed this adaptor bracket so the VFR fender will fit on the VTR fork lowers. Works out fine. (Probly could stand to hog more material out of it.) Did the original around 5 years ago, and I had several people on viffer forums recently ask if I would make a set for them. - I have a couple extra sets if anybody wants to tackle the job.
  10. I am at - all bikes are cool, anything with 2 wheels. I like to get out and wring my tricked out VFR in the twists some days and other times just jump on the Valkyrie, lay back, cruise the countryside. Its all good, all flavors.
  11. Kinda like the idea, but I think its ugly, needs a restyle. Would be good for commuting to work. - Wonder if it would be easier to just trike it.
  12. Brian, please post all the pics of the build you can. This forum could stand more bike build threads.
  13. May the bluebird of happiness bring you intense, incurable jock itch.
  14. Waaaaay da minute - I just caught you have a '89 Accord at 432k? Holy shit! (again) Same engine or rebuilt? (I had an '88 I sold at 206k and now have a '90 at 125k)
  15. 251k ? Holy shit! So your running T6 - huh....
  16. Nothing super complicated, mostly motorcycle stuff, worse case would be a triple like this: Right now I just have a simple aluminum bracket design to do. A shop would gig me pretty good for the time. I would rather not pay their overhead rate.
  17. Hey - I am an automotive engineer by trade, and am looking for someone to do some moonlite work on design jobs. Need to be able to create the model and process file, and get the file ready to drop to the machine shop for CNC or lazar cutting. This is an occasional gig, would be extra pocket bucks for you. PM me if interested or if you know anybody that could do this. --------- btw- wouldnt mind suggestions on Dayton area shops that would be wiiling to work with me.
  18. Seems to be an annual rumor on the VFR forums. Hope its true, but the classic line goes - I'll believe it when I see it.
  19. IP --- ^^^^ -- 200K on an F4i is indeed impressive, but the guy never did answer your oil question.
  20. ^^^ Agree with that, I havent done my winter changes yet and I'm probly gonna go with it.
