My dad owned a late 70's corvette, which made him start hating chevy. My dream car would be a McLaren F1. I fell in love with it once I found out about it when I was young and it still holds the same allure, unfortunately it holds an even higher price tag than when it was new.

So... we should bury the tach and bounce off the limiter next to the sign in a show of civil disobedience?
-
Are you going to put up prices along with the pictures?

This brings up something I have been tossing around in my head for a little: even if a working gun control law is enacted, is obama doing more harm than good? The extreme amount of guns and accessories that are under suspicion of being banned are saturating the civilian market. If these things are evil, and ccw's cause wild west standoffs, isn't that the logical conclusion regardless of the future laws for a short time at least?

Bump. Woot has the 720p, HD version for sale for $50 (the regular price of the SD version). http://www.woot.com/

Jinu, I have setup blocks modeled in solidworks for the lower at least (would have to check for the upper). Let me know if you want the files, it would at least save you some time. This is my new winter project:

These were the links in the article, and it also referenced his latest youtube video: http://m.topix.com/forum/city/frankfort-ky/TF7BSLPVVF7EIFRV6/p2 http://www.921wlhr.com/body-found-in-carnesville-identified-2/

Woah, I loved his channel, and he looks pretty young too. This is a huge shocker and I am definitely interested in details.

Bike- wrenching/maintenance/miss being at the track- fest - NEoh edition
imprez55 replied to jbot's topic in Track is Crack
12v and GND from the bike to an adjustable DC-DC voltage regulator with potentiometer to select the amount of dampening on the stock HESD (stock goes up to 6.5v) with a few other miscellaneous components. I need a damper for Nelson's, I'm cheap, like DIY and don't want it to be variable out of my control (I hear they don't really react fast enough). -
Bike- wrenching/maintenance/miss being at the track- fest - NEoh edition

I think I should still be able to be there, but I won't be going to IMS. The plan is to bring the bike to mount the track plastics, retrofit a gauge cluster and set up a manual HESD -
...and I can knock a tree over, if its small enough. I have heard the original colt ar15's supposedly used 6061-t6 and DPMS and CMMG still use it on their .308 stuff. The ar15 does not have enough stresses to break a 6061-t6 lower that I know of and I am willing to bet it will much outlive the owner. There are even skeletonized lowers (primarily) for pistol builds and I have never heard of a failure out of those. I think those were 7075-t6 though. If there is physical proof/simulation of the opposite that you know of specifically, I would love to look at it. As stated, of you are looking for a lower then you won't find one for anywhere near $150 right now. You will need to wait a couple months to finish your build; you picked a bad time.

You could manipulate with your left hand and not have your right hand be interrupted as well, or use a revised lower with a bolt release above the mag release. I quickly mocked this up since I couldn't remember or find the manufacturers that are currently doing this:

Welcome! The MotoSeries group is a good bunch of people and very welcoming, you'll enjoy it. The 600 is pretty much the standard for the track and by far the biggest group. Are you planning on re-building the RC51 for the street and picking up another bike for the track?

If we are going to get practical about this issue, than we need to get at the heart of both WHY and HOW these people go through mass shootings (mass and high profile shootings are the only thing that get the public riled up, so I think we can restrict it to that). The major response to WHY is that these people are mentally unstable. Our country has a piss poor system of acknowledging, responding and treating mentally ill patients. We have it in our laws that those who are mentally unstable may not have a gun, but how often is that actually used? The media then treats these shooters as famous celebrities; telling you their entire background, when they are going to court next, how they looked in court, did they have compassion, what did they say etc... Someone who is mentally ill with no social network would see this as a way to become famous and would try to 1-up the last person. Can you name 5 total victims from either the batman or CT shootings? Chances are that you can't, but I'm sure the shooters' names are a lot clearer. We have already repeatedly stated and shown in this thread that guns are not the problem. You cannot convince someone that guns are not the problem if they believe they are, instead give them an alternate reason and something else to regulate. People want to do something to prevent shootings, the only thing that comes to most people's mind is laws and regulation, so give them something else to regulate. I would also like to touch on the point that felon =/= bad person. It doesn't mean they are in a gang, it doesn't mean they joined one in prison, it doesn't mean they are violent, it doesn't mean they will commit crimes and it doesn't mean they are irresponsible with firearms. It means they committed a felony, then they served their time and are square with the state. This is a whole different issue of "rehabilitation" and our inability to see those who went to jail as normal people again, which I will not touch on. But lets not group those who committed copyright infringement, vandalism (on federal property) etc. on the same pedestal as violent, repeat offenders.

Hell no! Quite frankly, that is insane, even more so than mandatory registration. Not only do you have to register, but then you can be charged anything to transfer ownership and to wait forever at the BMV or equivalent. It costs ~$30 a title plus taxes for vehicles (already too much for private sale) and I can bet you it would cost a lot more for guns (can you say "sin tax"). Insurance would be the same; absolutely extreme prices to insure which would further limit the market. What about NFA items like suppressors, SBR's and full auto's? That would be like trying to insure full race vehicles for the street.

Next time, just turn the web cam on and let the computer do all the heavy lifting

Well, the impreza is rated at 3000lbs in the uk (manual trans) so I'm not sure why it doesn't fit your bill.

Damn, guess I should have picked some up. I saw your link to $10 ones just a few days prior and thought $20 was price gouging enough for me to stay away. They really didn't have much of anything in terms of accessories or firearms. Plenty of .380 and 9mm in the front of the store though

Use that $100 gc to and go to fff in middleburg. Last Wednesday they had a literal trash can fill of $20 pmags that nobody was touching. Edit, never mind, thought it was fs/t

When you look at WAY too much porn on your work computer, most people can ignore it. That is, until you tell your boss's wife that she has nice tits at the christmas party

Why would they need to be in the Dayton area to do the designing? -
Is there and way to know if they failed or were just not tested? I remember not being able to find the JASO-MA certification of shell's website, only on the actual bottles ( source )
