Is that the one in the Black Friday ads that Casper posted for super cheap?

But...but the original Halo: Combat Evolved wasn't released till 2001. I personally stopped after 3. They have claimed to stop Halo development so many times and then they keep doing more. I don't know how good 4 will be but I know Reach and ODST didn't appeal to me and apparently did not live up to 3 even.

I am not at all scared Obama will ban guns or anything of the sort. Its Biden I am worried about, however, their allegiance to the Democratic party will most likely keep them from doing anything radical to try and get another Dem elected. In short, nothing interesting will happen

Disappointment. By my last check it was a 50% to 49% by the popular vote. That's not good for the country. We are still broken and divided

I don't think the moral of the story should be to slow down, its understand simple physics of traction. You can't cut the wheel 90* at full speed or rock the car side to side under panic braking/acceleration. Most of those were somebody cutting over way too much and then over correcting and going into oncoming traffic. IRL has better physics engines then need for speed, you can't do that shit

Wait, we are doing this again already? Must be an every-4-years thing.

OK, weird question, but for ANYONE that knows an RC8 owner...

If there are enough parts to build a whole other rc8 I would be interested. Since I assume its no where near that, how much for the KTM(?) canopy? -
I would say $8500 would be what I would want to pay (if I had that kind of cash!). Start at $8k since you keep mentioning that number and just settle on the in between value. The middle of the line $9k is pretty accurate, but he isn't going to get $9k cash in hand anytime soon from the dealer or really any private party during the coming months. If he wants it sold quick then he is going to have to be flexible and you know he is motivated and wants it gone. Yes the bike retails at $12k but just like any other vehicle, they lose a lot of value after it is ridden off the lot. The first service at 600mi is a dealer ride around and oil change, no more than $145 recommended (1 hr labor rate and oil/filter) from Ducati North America. Every 2(?) years and 7500mi is valve check and belts. The belts can cost $60 each from Ducati or $60 a pair from California Cycleworks, the valves range depending on how many shims you need, 4 valve cover gaskets costs like $9 total and most oil filters cost ~$12. It won't cost $1000 for SCHEDUALED maintenance, but that doesn't mean it won't cost that sometime if something needs replacing.

Formula for a baby in a male jail? I think not; looks like someone or everyone is going to have to venture out and find something

Bike- wrenching/maintenance/miss being at the track- fest - NEoh edition
imprez55 replied to jbot's topic in Track is Crack
a/s/l? 22/m/Cle I am definitely in for this. I might be getting laid off late December or early January so I would have a lot of time then as well. Until then I would have to restructure a whole week so I would need to know ahead of time. Weekends would be best after like 12-1pm. Location seems good to me too. I have electrical wiring, steering damper and suspension to set on my track bike that I could bring. Hopefully the duc will be done by then unless it gives me any more headaches… If nobody wants to bring their grill I can just buy one of the $10 wally world ones where you get that free bag of charcoal (if they do those specials in the winter). -
I think he is reading it as ASMC is filing chapter 11, so how can they continue to manufacture. At least, thats what I was confused about. I just swept it under the rug by saying that maybe a division can file for it or there is some section under chapter 11 that allows them to do something similar. I am not familiar enough on it to really comment though

I didn't see it, what happened?

Haha, this 100x. I had almost the same experience on my first track day except it was a '03 cbr600rr. Not a single scratch or bruise on me either. This year I couldn't go often due to funds but I still followed every trackday meetup thread waiting for that time I could go. You are right, it isn't cheap but I think its worth it. Motoseries at Nelson's is one of the cheaper track days and its still $150 plus ~$30 in pump gas, gas to get there and back, food and drink, possibly broken parts etc. In terms of gear, gauntlet gloves, over the ankle boots, 1 piece suit or a 2 piece that zips, a newish in tact helmet and tape for your lights. I know you don't want to hear this, but the plug won't work on the track. Most people don't like them on the street with a bike and I doubt it would pass inspection if it was seen.

Where did they roll these out? The color reminds me of France or Italy and the bike makes me lean more towards Italy. I don't know any US police that use anything but Harley and Victory bikes

Great video, but it makes me sad for the ending of the season

I ended up getting called into work and am still stuck here as of right now. I also wanted to drop the duc's engine and study for a test tomorrow so time is becoming quite short. Are you still riding doc?

I don't agree with the consensus here. I say go all in, get a raise for your wife and a threesome with her boss. Wins all around!

BMMW: There are still real lawsuits. I'm sure that if something was blatantly misrepresented (i.e. "bike is perfect, runs great") then you would have an option for legal recourse. I don't know for certain but I can't imagine that you wouldn't be able to at least win a civil suit and make money to fix it to top notch condition. Also, how does a bike with only 9,000 miles have THAT many problems? I knew HD's were unreliable, but this seems like an over the top case! I have never done ebay before but almost every time that I have to drive far from my house to pick a bike up, some part of the deal falls through or has been misrepresented. Went to NC, guy said he had track plastics and streets but the track was at his buddies and he would ship them to me (sure) but it turns out the "buddy" sold them; went to NY, guy said he had title (it was for a track build) and gauge cluster, somehow they both went missing once I arrive; right now I am waiting on a title to be released by a bank and sent to me with keys, so we will see how that goes. My advice is to CYA and never be afraid to leave a bike behind. I have personally never had an issue with the quality of a bike being misrepresented, it has always been ancillary things that made transactions less than perfect so don't forget about the small details. FWIW I just bought a bike sight unseen and couldn't be happier about the quality of it. I always request lots of pictures from every angle and usually a video so I know what I am getting into.

I didn't even look at the link but if its anything like the beezid (?) auctions and the like, then its legit but shady. Each bid of the auction only takes the total up x amount of dollars, however each one of those bids cost the person who bid it $1. So the site buys the items in question themselves and can still make a profit. That $400 retail gun just went for $550 easily for the site. Again, I have not used this site nor can I even access it from work but if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Doesn't mean you can't make out from it, but I have heard they have shady timer practices as well so you might still get screwed

He didn't have to actually wash the car, I doubt the officer was serious. The kid just had to not have a big mouth and talk back.

I don't think there was a front brake either, and that is possibly why they needed all the people to try and hold it. There is a disk on the front wheel, but I don't see a lever at all on the right handlebar
-
The grip tape will ruin leathers unfortunately. There are tank pads that have fairly large plastic nubs on them that will hold you in place very well. Certain brands are kind of sharp and would agitate my knees if I held on too tight, fyi. I don't know how the seat is on the viffer but I can remember whenever I would brake hard going into a turn on my R1, I would slide forward and smash my nuts on the gas tank. It was a combination of the seat material being a little slipperier than I am used to and (what seemed to be, never measured) a steeper seating angle.
-
You should feel nothing in your arms. Pin your knees to the tank and keep yourself upright with your lower back. If done correctly, your riding position should stay the same while being able to let go of the handlebars. For the gears: upshift when the revs get too high, downshift when they get too low. You don't even need to know the gear. If you are ever in doubt after downshifting and stopped, just stomp the lever down a couple times.

Fascinating video. I liked how involved the founder was/is and how he was the one basically describing everything. It ended up seeming more genuine and much more informative than some of the Ultimate Factories I have seen.

If the kid would have just kept his mouth shut, none of this ever would have happened .
