  1. Actually, quite incorrect. The bill of rights protects the freedoms of the people (at that time, the state was the people but have since transformed into mini-feds) as well as the individual person. As long as the supreme court agrees with that sentiment, I guess I can live with the fact that the token lib on ordn doesn't. Again, Congress is welcome to ratify an amendment restricting personal firearm ownership. They are also welcome to sign UN small-arms treaties. Baby blue shows up better in the Leupold.
  2. Congratulations! I only talked to her for five minutes or so, but she seemed very cool. Cheers!
  3. Personal defense is implicit in the wording of the 2nd as well as the right to pursue happiness without being killed. Concealed Carry shouldn't be debated as the framers would not have dreamed of a free society without the ability to defend one's self.
  4. The 2nd amendment, like all of the amendments contained in the bill of rights is a protection of the citizen from the government. Period. The right to bear arms in order to defend against an oppressive government. The right to form a militia to guard against oppressive government. The right to speak out against government. The writers did not want another tyrannical situation like the one from which they just freed themselves. Every attempt at a governmental restriction of any of the rights contained in the Bill of Rights is unconstitutional. Those rights are to be respected and upheld at face-value and not modernized or interpreted. The constitution establishes a mechanism for repealing amendments, so if that is desired, then Congress must go through THAT process.
  5. Bofferding..... I haven't thought of that beer for nearly 20 years. I spent a semester in Luxembourg. I'd pay big bucks for a Bofferding or a raw Mosel Wheat. Slumming it here in the states, I love the Anchor Steam, Shiner, or most of the Great Lakes. Of course Yuengling is a treat when east of home.

Fin, Feather and Fur can compete with Vances on certain guns. Get on their site and you will drive about 40 mins from where you are. Don't disregard used guns either. Vances has used H&K in the $450s and up. Price for price, do you buy a new Accord or a used Lexus. Won't go wrong with either.

The Walther p22 gets consistent favorable reviews. I owned a Buckmark 5.5 target back in the day. Mine jammed often but I've been told that that wasn't typical. Never heard of the GSG.

Two Hi-powers. Two beautifully blued pieces of art. Two of the shittiest, grittiest, triggers I've ever pulled. Take your time to dry-fire it a few times to make sure FEG worked out the kinks.
  10. I'm sure you and I will pay for someone to plead insanity for him.
  11. There's a special place in hell for him. I just hope he gets there sooner rather than later. The courts better treat this baby like a person and go full-out.

    Apocalypse PA

I hunt my friend's farm in Perry County. I look around at corn, beans, and lots of furry critters. Then over at the oil well, natural gas "well", and flowing stream. The city folk are screwed for sure. Once all of the stores have been looted (first 5 minutes after the first "maybe we're headed for trouble " is announced), mayhem will ensue. It rained in New Orleans a few years ago and look what happened.

Sounds like they have all they need... pickup truck, grain alcohol, and guns. If they have a few sisters, the species will persist.
  14. Although girthy, I can put my head into just about anything.
  15. I'm sorry, but I know better. I saw Gran Torino.
  16. I really think you would find the Exo 700 to be a nice improvement over the 400. They can be had at the Pony for $99 (gorgeous blue and white Sthdarburstht) to upper $200s depending on design and color. I'm going to stick with the brand as long as no one sticks an Arai or Shoei on my head to make me understand why the Scorps are so inexpensive.

    What's up

Welcome to the site! There are lots of great deals out there right now, but spring will bring higher prices.
  18. +1^ Firearms enthusiasts are generally pretty happy to share our opinions about the "right" gun and are thrilled to use any opportunity to shoot them. Ask the girl's family and you will go far.
  19. Anyone can snap, but CCW holders have to prove that they've gone at least 21years without doing so (or being caught). I can live with those odds.
