I think there are some other fast kids out there this year... I'm really impressed with the progress the MX girl has made since last season. Gavin has the potential to win for sure but I don't think it's going to be an easy fight for him in the current field. That's not a bad thing though. Tough competition pushes progress and learning and will make everyone better in the long run. Just make sure Gavin knows he's got people watching his races and he shouldn't feel like he's letting anyone down when things happen out on the track that are out of his control. We know how fast he is and we know shit happens. If he's already got all that sorted out mentally, then great.

Yeah I was bummed for Gavin both days, but especially Sunday... he was on pace to place 2nd (nobody was catching the stupid Kawi). Glad he was able to keep things together when the engine went kaboom, was kinda hairy for the dude who ran wide off the track. Josh's story for the weekend is something that will be talked about for a long time, impressive showing of both his riding ability and the motorcycle racing community. It's a shame they are only racing superbike at COTA, but at least MotoAmerica got a time slot for some exposure to the international crowd. Looking forward to VIR and a functional engine from Graves...

Got all the stupid stickers off the race bike so I can put on my number.

Didn't see what happened in race 1... they said there was only one crash and it wasn't Gavin. Hope all's well and looking forward to seeing him on the podium tomorrow. After they limit those damn KTMs and Kawi400's. Cheaters.

I mean, this doesn't just pose a threat to motorcycle track days, it's essentially going after all sports or activities that currently have you sign a waiver and carry insurance. I highly doubt this will go through in favor of Kim, since outdoor recreation/skiing/racing/all sports are a big part of California's economy. But yeah, who knows.

People are friendlier in Ohio than up north. In New England you never spoke to anyone you didn't know, you just pretended they didn't exist. For example, if someone dropped their wallet, "sucks to be them they shouldn't have been so clumsy." Nobody would ever think of asking you how your day was going or try to make small talk while waiting in a line or anything like that. I blame the puritans.

Ohio is ok. Florida is just plain shitty. Except for the Cuban food in Miami, that's good.
