  1. The new ninja 300's are really good looking bikes, surprisingly so. I think Kawi is ahead of the pack when it comes to the lightweight/entry market (not counting KTM). That said, an OMRL bike is my next purchase, probably over the winter/spring. Wanted to get it going this year but overtime has been a little low so far and a surprise liter bike popped up that I couldn't say no to
  2. Was thinking Hocking over to 78 and beyond but if anyone from Cleveland wanted to meet up we would probably switch to Otsego or Coshocton or somewhere in that area for the initial meetup and head south. Honestly the epic ride route wasn't a bad one... I'm going to be stopping more often to stretch though since my knees are bent a little more on the new rocket ship. Meetup wouldn't be until around noon though since Jacob has to work in the morning.
  3. Me. Think @jacobhawkins wants to get out and about too.
  4. @TimTheAzn - time to start an svrider account. people have put blood and tears, and also bloody tears, and other bloody bodily fluids into being sv of the month and you might get it by default.
  5. So if the winner is the first and last person across the finish line, they get to be the sacrifice as well?
  6. Forgot you're a legend on that site, my bad. SVRider is where I first saw it back in 2009 or something. The hole drilling thread was pretty amazing too.
  7. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/27-anything-goes/226570-bike-wont-start-after-using-nos-fuel-additive.html This thread is worth it. It's a long read, but worth it. You'll understand the relation to your comment a little ways in.
  8. This weekend I'm looking at getting out on the new wheels. Was thinking Hocking but if Cleveland/Northerners are looking to ride maybe we can meet at Otsego and do that route or something instead. /shrug
  9. Get geared up to go stand around and talk about how fast pirate ships are? ehhh
  10. Was looking at these (not the Wayne edition) the other day, they are super light.
  11. what

    Fork Fluid

    Thinking oil trapped in cartridge?
  12. Glad everything turned out well. After my dad had his strokes last year he had some memory/cognition problems for a while but that has gotten better over time. It takes a little while but the brain adapts. Hopefully the same will be true for John. Fingers crossed.
  13. Waterproof day-glow green backpack = no rain damage to electronics and (hopefully) more visibility to the people using their no rain damage electronic behind me.
  14. New tires on the CBR. CBR registered, plate goes on when I get home. Brake fluid will be done this week...
  15. Interested to hear how you guys like the new pave job.
  16. Dunno about this weekend, but I hear next weekend is going to be pretty awesome.
  17. Should be available. I'll check Monday.
  18. Bought new tires for the new bike. Also, @Isaac's Papa @Danimal
  19. Well, if you think the FZ10 is low on power I won't bring up the Speed Triple I guess. The Speedy just got updated for 2016+... specs are ok and components are all really nice on the R model but power is down compared to the I4 super nakeds. Looks like it only makes 14 more horsepower at the crank than the new Street Triple RS. The ergos on the new Street Triple are pretty close to my 2010. The RS has a slightly lower seat height than mine though I think. You're welcome to ride my Streety anytime you'd like if you're curious. From Wiki: "For 2016 Triumph made 104 changes to the Speed Triple. Ride-by-wire has been added for the first time with 5 ride modes with traction control and ABS that can be turned on or off. The new engine is narrower as well as the smaller more efficient radiator are just some of the new updates. The new Speed Triple has a wet weight of 212 kg (467 lb) and a claimed dry weight of 192 kg (423 lb). Power for the new Speed Triple is a claimed 140 hp (100 kW) @ 9,500 rpm and 82.6 lb·ft (112.0 N·m) @ 7,850 rpm."
  20. It's been thundering in columbus off and on since it woke me up at 4 this morning. Dry here now but cloudy. @NinjaDoc - your suspension rebound and compression damping should be set to factory settings until @Tpoppa, @Isaac's Papa or someone else that knows what they're doing sets it up for you. There's no "right" answer, suspension is about feel. Even with the pros on the race track, they will have their suspension tech set the bike up the way they think it should be, the rider will take the bike out, say it's doing X in corner 3 and Y in corner 7 that they don't like and the suspension tech will adjust things again. Rinse and repeat until the rider likes the way everything feels. It's more of an art than a science since "feel" is very different with every rider.
  21. Told you I'm fine riding the Duc or the Triumph for this one if you wanted to CBR it up.
  22. For me there's usually lots of swearing and name calling and somewhat violent shaking of the wheel + caliper + axle until everything lines up.
  23. Hoping next weekend I'll be able to get out. May go out Sunday even if it rains though. Power whoolies are calling my name.
