  1. Sometimes, if I work my 40 in the first 2 or 3 days I can take later in the week off. Wasn't the case this week though, I was just giving Doc a hard time.
  2. What's the difference between "drop" and "throw" exactly?
  3. I thought you had somehow filmed me last weekend from the title. But no, it was the day you and Durk played hookie without me.
  4. Yamaha and their ratmobiles. Phazers, phazers everywhere. (My second snowmobile was a Yamaha Sno Scoot, I loved the hell out of that thing)
  5. From what I understand, Michigan has a pretty ridiculous maintained/groomed trail system so track length may not be as big a concern as if you were out in the mountains riding off-trail in the deep powpow. If you're looking at doing long days, I would get something with some wind protection and creature comforts. If you're just wanting something to tool around on for 100 miles per day or something though, a sportier trail machine may be more fun. As an aside, heated grips always made my hands sweat and ended up making my hands cold/gloves freeze. I have hot hands in general though so maybe that's not a normal thing. I miss snowmobiling.
  6. What kind of riding are you wanting to do? Snowmobiles work kinda like motorcycles in there are different models for different things. if you look at Ski Doo's website ( https://www.ski-doo.com/?redirect=false ) in the "snowmobiles" dropdown it says what each model is made for. I had an MXZ and a Mach Z growing up which was more speed/handling based for trail riding.
  7. I was riding a snowmobile before I could walk. Haven't ridden in probably 14 or 15 years and it seems like the design has swayed more towards MX with a higher center of gravity and more suspension travel than the older sleds so my knowledge may be a little dated... I can say that I always liked Bombardier/ski-doo for build quality. Polaris wasn't bad either.
  8. This one took me a minute, but it's a pretty good troll. I don't think Bill Hilly would get it though.
  9. Don't let Tim lie to you, he trailers to Knoxville on 75, unloads in the Maryville Walmart parking lot, rides down 129 to the lookout, takes a selfie and turns around to head back home. He can't haul 5 sets of spare tires with him on his bike so this is his way of mitigating fucking racebike effect on trips farther than the local starbucks.
  10. Someone was really waving at us. Maybe we're secret famous. Also, added about 6-8oz of oil to the CBR to keep it nice and topped off.
  11. I'm assuming it was you waving at us on 70 Saturday? White and black ADV bike heading west.
  12. picking up 3-day and a camping spot... all by my lonesome. **nvm, $10 more for 3-day, maybe I can get off work for Friday. /shrug
  13. here we go again grips are not even worth putting thought into. does it have a good rating on whatever website you're going to order from? yes? ok order it up. almost guaranteed it's 7/8" size, essentially 1 size fits all except for harley/baggers. use alcohol to put the grips on, it evaporates in short order.
  14. Yep no-can-do for me, will be in shitty LA for work the 19th-28th.
  15. CBR chain cleaned and lubed. Battery tender leads bought for CBR. Found a cute salesgirl in the Ducati area at IP that rides a '99 monster and chatted a bit.
  16. Probably a no, depends on those few days and work. October is pretty much full for me though I think. Will check tomorrow.
  17. what

I meant my phone taking a dump and not being able to run sygic. once we got it figured out in woodsfield we were golden.
  18. Introduced myself to the new bike and showed it how I like to ride. We get along pretty well.

Good ride fellas, sorry for the less-than-stellar route planning but everything turned out pretty well in the end.
