  1. Rear stand isn't hydraulic. Or pneumatic.
  2. The spacer on the triple is the worst part of the tire change process. It's such a pain in the ass to get that to stay on there + get the brake caliper back on correctly. I did find that using my foot as a lever under the wheel when trying to mount makes it easier, but still not easy.
  3. Jesus runs a chop shop. If I don't see his face I get to live.
  4. looks like an extremely rare issue in an extremely rare bike. /shrug
  5. They should just transition to merch and aftermarket sales only and dump the new motorcycle overhead. /shrug
  6. So I called Mid-O yesterday and asked about the eclipse, the nice lady on the phone said they were going to run it like a usual track day as far as she knew. Not sure they have even thought about it though since she was surprised. Maybe it will make its way up the chain of command. /shrug
  7. No power wheelies in 3rd gear though. Or really at all. Power-wise, it's on par with a D675 with a tune. Love my Streety though.
  8. They redesigned the speed triple in 2016. It lost a lot of weight and gained about 15hp over the previous iteration. FZ10 is still the go-to though if you can't get a Super Dook
  9. I'll be there in one capacity or another.
  10. There's no sales tax in Oregon. Now there's a flat $15 sales tax on bicycles. I dont live in Oregon. I don't give a shit either way.
  11. Was more thinking an sv650 vs a 1000rr at the same time, aka open class track day. It'd be all kinds of fun if everyone was running the same displacement.
  12. It's only bad over 80. Anything over that just tuck like a flat-tracker.
  13. Then bring a back protector And if you're feeling real frisky, some tire warmers.
  14. This is an awesome thing you did, guys.
  15. Track days aren't as stressful as people think. Once you know the routine it's show up, talk to the nice registration ladies for your lunch bracelet, unload your crap, take bike + all gear to tech, go to rider's meeting at 8, break into groups after that and enjoy your day. Tech they want to see that your bike has good brake pads, throttle closes on its own, any glass/clear plastic/lights are taped or removed/license plate bolts taped or plate + bolts removed/ all gear is in good shape and fits well/ chain slack is correct/tires have tread left/ etc etc. Coolant isn't an issue really in novice but in Intermediate or above you have to run water or water wetter. Not a bad idea to do the swap anyway though, as they say, any liquids on the track shorten everyone's day if its slick and requires a cleanup crew.
  16. Hey, it did the trick. Have someone who's interested.
  17. Come join us as we sacrifice rubber to the track gods..
  18. If you drive down to Columbus Wednesday I'll come hold your hand at Iron Pony so you don't get scared. Offer is out there.
  19. You fuckers stay away from my FZ10s. Mine.
  20. what

Maybe in. Will know more later this week.
  21. judging from this map - https://www.forbes.com/sites/marshallshepherd/2017/07/17/four-emerging-misconceptions-on-social-media-about-the-upcoming-great-american-eclipse/#49c9543f447b - pretty dark. Looks like twilight rather than night time though. The full shadow of the moon passes just south of Columbus. Looks like we will get the most darkness at around 2pm though. Wonder if they will go an hour or 2 late to compensate? Might be worth calling them to ask. Does Mid-O have lights?
