    1994 vfr750

SOLD Alright this bike is a riot, but I am afraid it is a catch and release. I did a few upgrades, changed some fluids, and even bought lots of upgrades I didn't install yet, but I don't think the ergos are going to do it for me. It is a 94 vfr750 with 35,500 ish miles. 2 brothers pipe, corbin seat with backrest, heated grips (need re-hooked up), throttlemeister cruise control and Genmar Risers. Also have the solo seat cowl. I added the VFRness harness and an upgraded R/R, since these are prone to cooking them. Front tire is near new, rear is bit more worn, but workable, ready to ride anyplace. V-4 750cc engine with gear driven cams sounds glorious, runs excellent. It has been tipped over on both sides, so near front turn signals it is scuffed and on center panel is slightly cracked near the rear by the stator and somehow the tach lens has a 1 inch stress crack down the center.... but it is a clean solid rider bike. Have clean/clear ohio title.
  2. i'll be out and about later, rode the strom in today.
  3. I think they push V-stroms into the dual sport category for a lack of a better term, or to spread out their model lineup. Initially it's just a higher middleweight "standardish" bike. You can go either way and go full blown DS with knobbies and jack it up, or you can go light touring roadbike like it did, add tall screen get a touring seat, etc. Vstrom is very versatile, very comfortable and has been my favorite ride so far. The 650 is more than adequate and the 1000 is downright fast. But LINKs suggestions above, pretty much round out all similar options.
  4. sent a pm/email yesterday lemme know, thanks!
  5. JD Honey is decent, I agree that its more of a on the rocks and sip and isn't as mixable as the others.
  6. Found one, pls delete!
  7. On the lookout for a 22/45 Lite, has anyone actually seen one in the flesh, recently?
  8. Its smooth, I just think it's because its the two finger pull as opposed to grabbing a whole slide. She don't like it and its gotta go. the fact that she works out with like 3 lb weights dosen't help, this beast is almost that heavy.
  9. Alright, since I am on the 22lr kick here... its a ruger mkiii 22/45 5.5 bull barrel with the replacable cocobolo grips. This is the gun I was hoping to keep instead of the sr22. I can only have one and its too heavy and too hard to cock (hurts fingers) for the fiance, so I never even fired it, just got it a few days ago. PO said he may have put like 250 rounds or so through it, used it very little, looks very clean. Only issue is, I was taking it down and the barrel landed on the corner of the sight, dinging it, however, this portion is replacable, don't need to punch out the sight or anything. Ruger said its about $15 including shipping for the piece. Anyways, it comes with everything that came as new except for the manual, even has the ruger rail. and it has 4 mags total. Would take $280, please come get it! thanks. -mike
  10. Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news... but I took the misses shooting with it today and she refuses to part with it... SO .. i guess its off the market. sorry for the drama!
  11. since i have already let thread go into snafu mode... $280 ?.. i know that can't be entirely unreasonable. and i wasn't trying to be unreasonable , im sure i probably overpaid to begin with.
  12. could just pitch me an offer?
  13. I'd go $280 and no shipping/tax/ffl. etc, and instant gratification.
  14. I have a nice Ruger SR22 .22lr pistol. Put about 350 rounds through it. Gun has worked flawlessly, no FTE or FTF. Could work out trade for a nice Mk II/III bull barrel (not 22/45) or a buckmark, or would sell outright for $280. Comes with ruger rug, two mags, mag extensions, box, paperwork, lock, fired shell and two different size grips. Can get photos on request. Please let me know, thank you! -Mike
  15. Anyone been to the wolf creek range? Comparison to Zaleski?
  16. Alright, Recently got a ruger sr22 since I was looking for a 22 to plink and target shoot. The lady likes it since its relatively small and lightweight and not very intimidating. Took it to the outdoor range at Zaleski and gave it a whirl. Not one FTE or FTF in about 250 rounds of blazer. However, I was trying to sight the gun in and from about 12-13 yards or so I can punch in a pretty decent spread, seems rather accurate. Once I step out to the full range 25 yards though; all bets are off, I can't hit crap. Its been awhile since I'm done any pistol shooting, so I'm sure some of it is me. However, am I expecting a gun with a 3.5 barrel to put a decent spread from 25 yards unreasonable? sights need more adjustment/crappy shooter? Probably a mix?
  17. Was looking at the Bersa 22, would something smaller like that handle thousands of rounds like a more target sized pistol or would it be more reserved to a carry and occational shoot
  18. Have not pulled the trigger on anything yet, litterally, ... someone has to have a small arsenal and want to part with a .22 Let me know, thanks!

    Ruger p95

--- givin me palpitations man, i'm waiting on the return call.
  20. Anyone have a Beretta Neos? Looks a like funky, but felt good and seems to have decent reviews out there.
  21. would it be worth heading out to the Gun show at the franklin county fairgrounds this weekend, or am I going to be disappointed. never actually been to one... ?
  22. are there any ranges in the Columbus area that have a decent assortment of rental guns; 22A, Buckmark, Mark III, etc? Most places I've seen have at least a Ruger sitting around, but not much else. Also, does anyone Columbus price match to Fin, Feather and Fur? Its long ride up there, but they are by far the least expensive around on most of the guns I am looking at.
