  1. Not going to lie, the Vtwin in 650 strom is nice.... and i prefer it to a simiar sized I4... but it dosen't hold a candle to even say my vfr750. But thats like comparing apples & oranges, I'm sure an SV has a bit more spunk.
  2. bike is sold, co-worker of mine picked it up.
  3. 800 vfr isn't currently manufactured, well it is... but its in the non-US CrossRunner. I always thought my vstrom ergos with a V4 engine would be awesome, unfortunately unless Honda makes a move its not coming here.
  4. I do like simple plates... ala Vermont... green plate white characters.. boom done
  5. do i detect a megaman tune at about 2 min in the MTC?
  6. when i got plates for the newer/car bike I just missed out on the old RWB plates, so i will jump on these. at least kasich has some taste in color, since he hates the pink DL and the blue plates.

    Woot-Off

I sort of recently got back into watches, it makes for a nice way to add some flair and it is easier than pulling out the cell phone. However, I do not have anything remotely near the cost of those woot watches.

    Woot-Off today.....that is all
  9. Long shot, but does anyone have a sport touring screen for a 4th gen (94-97) vfr? Just looking to get one QUICKLY, since the weather will still be decent for a little while longer. Let me know, thanks! -mike

still got the bike as it sits in the photos... the givi luggage, heli's and sargent extras are gone, has a corbin though. I did add some genmar risers though.

I would like those, but I'm not up for drilling through those panels. I believe someone makes a set where you can remove the naca ducts on each side and run through the holes from those.

have to drill to use those correct?
  13. I have not been on Clear Creek road recently, but it varied wildly if they had recently patched it up or not. I went through there early this year and it had monster potholes, etc. But I think over the summer they cleaned it up a bit. Watch out for the errant fisherman in his pickup truck driving down the center.

Still would entertain trades for something to play with in the dirt; but needs to be street legal/plateable & 4 stroke.
  15. I use it 99% of the time and aside from the slow initial launch it has been good.
  16. I got to trial a Nexx xr1r... it was very light, very comfortable. But also a bit pricey.

sargent and givi parts are gone...
  18. duck hunting here in the NE has been generally disappointing. Been to places like Mosquito Creek, Magee, Ottawa, and on the break wall on the Lake. Never been down to the river, but that sounds like its quite a bit better than anything I have had around here.

I'll even pitch in the sargent at $2300

I don't actually have any luggage or brackets on the bike. I have the Givi F242 kit which includes the undertail arms and the monokey rack for a topbox. These are NIB as I didn't install. I didn't really want to spend big $ on the sidecase/topbox wingrack setup (almost unobtanium) combo and I have E41 cases which would be pretty large on the vfr , i figured I have full luggage on the vstrom. I was just going to share boxes between the two, but the boxes don't come with the vfr.
  21. I can attest that the VFR750 is pretty tractable till you swing that tach past 7k then it scoots off pretty well.

honestly I'm just sort of kicking the can on getting into real dirt..... should probably rein back the bike habit for just little bit so really would prefer the cash sale.

Pretty much looking for just cash at this time, might trade for something more dirt oriented, or more touring ish? ala XR or ST1100?
