  1. My logic is you are basically riding on a shorter but wider tire when it is under inflated. Think of it on a bigger scale, say this truck for instance.. right now that tire is inflated so the rim is about to the top of the hood, now imagine it was only inflated so the rim cam up to the bottom of the bumper. You would not be going nearly as fast as the speedo indicates because that speedo is calculating speed for a 10 foot tire but it is only inflated to 8 feet now. Does this make sense? This would be much more minuscule on a car but it is still a difference in speed. This is also why when you are buying new wheels for your car, if you go up in size on the wheel you go down in size on the tire. But in this case, the wheel stays the same size but the tire is now smaller in diameter. Its all about the diameter, not the circumference.
  2. I would recommend the cr9ek's because you dont have to gap them at all and are more reliable than the single prong version IMO.
  3. This is my brother. He would sooner shit his pants than use a bathroom in public. Has almost gotten fired from work a few times because he had to take a shit BEFORE he went to work and has came home "sick" a few times because he needed to shit.
  4. I end up in a silent feet stalemate at least a couple times a week because everyone likes to take long paid poops at work while playing on their phone. I probably rack up 3+ hours a week of paid poop time. And I also opt for the upgraded luxury stall. They usually have higher toilets which I like and are also sometimes more oval than round which give me more room so I dont have to play the "keep your dick from touching the toilet bowl" game and I can focus on my words with friends or ORDN(I am on the toilet as I type this) lmao.
  5. I think you are both correct. Under inflation would definitely change the diameter not the circumference of the tire and would require more rotations to match the speed of a properly inflated tire. How much of a difference it makes would be calculated like this (tire sidewall size from ground to bottom of the wheel x 2) + wheel size = rolling diameter (yes I made this term up) If the tire is under inflated the side wall height is going to be smaller which will require more rotations to equal the fully inflated tire.
  6. New turn signals LED turn signal with LED tails. http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f268/JStumpalump150/?action=view&current=394caf30.mp4
  7. Most likely a fuse, if it were just the LEDs I would say you killed them but if it is all the lights it has to be a fuse or wiring. But normally lights are fuses separately from each other so headlights are separate from tails and separate from turns. You didn't hit the kill switch on accident did you?
  8. Yes, LEDs are very sensitive. If they were not assembled correctly or you did touch the diode to too much power it will burn out the LED. I have made a bunch of LED tail lights and blew quite a few years ago when I was still learning about resistance and soldering. Just touching one with your finger wont do anything but touching it with power without the proper resistance would. If your triumph is like mine, you have fuses under the seat, by the headlights and in the cockpit fairing.
  9. I would try to go on a few short trips with her like to the grocery store and around town, nothing with too much traffic because traffic alone is enough to scare someone off a bike let alone learning how to ride with it all around you.
  10. How much has she actually ridden? Because it sounds like she is just scared of the bike, and has good reason to be. But after the first 20 or 30 miles, that uneasy feeling I had when I first started riding went away as I got used to the controls and turning. I knew I wanted to ride so I pushed through the uncomfortable first few miles, but if she does not really want to ride, I do not think anything is going to change her mind. It sounds like this may be the case.
  11. Thanks, but when it rains it pours. I just added replacement of the fuel and return line quick disconnects to the list of things to fix. Snapped one off when I removed the tank and after doing research I found out it is an extremely common thing to happen and there was a recall for it. I guess I am glad I found out like this and not with a puddle of gas on the ground or worse, with a fire while I am riding! At this point I think I have spent $1300 on repairs and upgrades in the past month. Dont even want to see the bank statement when it comes out lol.
  12. Same here, is it bad when you seriously consider skipping lunch to save $6 but when it comes to motorcycle parts I just whip out my wallet? lol edit: just noticed you said NOT motorcycle related lol
  13. New helmet with smoke shield.(plus $1000 in tires, paint, brakes, turn signals, and more in my build thread)

  15. Holy shit! I dated a girl like that for like a week, shit like this is funny at first but then it just pisses you off that someone is that dumb lmao.
  16. I dated a chick who's dad was a cop and he said 7 was the magic number because there is a few MPH deference sometimes between actual speed and the radar speed, depending on how accurately the gun is calibrated, so they want to be sure they can say you were speeding or else it will get thrown out in court. I pretty much just consider tickets to be a toll to speed. I have pretty much had 2 on my record at all times since I turned 17. Every year or so I renew my tickets like I do my registration and license lol.
  17. Liter bikes from what I have seen on CL, are typically only a grand or 2 more than their 600cc counterpart of the same year. Not worth the headache and frustration of trying to cram a snail inside your frame then dealing with the problems typically associated with turbos on originally NA engines.
  18. I like Lenovo, granted I have only worked with their professional models but I have never had any issues with them.
  19. Asus is the brand to buy right now, Dell, HP, Compaq(which is built by HP) all are junk. They are not the companies you knew 10 years ago.
  20. I hear ya! Its an obstacle course trying to dodge put holes in cleveland. I blew a tire a few months ago on a massive one on my way to work!
  21. Not sure if the 675 has this problem or not but the 600 and 650 has known stator/rr issues which can be tested at home if you have a multimeter.
  22. Sounds like the corrosion was the issue. Had the same issue with my sentra last year, knocked off the corrosion and sanded the battery terminal and my problem went away.
  23. Correct me if I'm wrong but corrosion isn't caused by a bad alternator. It is just something that happens over time and if it is exposed to salt. Just scrape the corrosion off and you should be good to go. If you still want to test the alternator after you scrape off the corrosion, get a multimeter and test the voltage with the bike off and with it on. it should be somewhere between 12 to 13 volts off, 13 to 14.5 on.
  24. Yeah, Im around the corner at Park Meadow apartments off south abbe, we will have to go for a ride sometime.

  25. Oh yeah? Where do you live in Elyria?
