But I get what you're doing Hob, just your favs and not a "These are the best bikes ever, period" Are you choosing your favs by how easily wrenched they are compared to what they do? Or style vs performance? I've got reasons to love most every bike for what it is, but my best-bike lists would vary a lot through their respective catagories. Power vs speed vs comfort vs terrain vs price etc. I know..... I'm over thinking the idea
-
Guess it would depend on application aspects. If Yamaha's best bike is considered the FJR over their other models, then wouldn't you pick Kaws best the C14? I imagine most everyone has different opinions on the best of each mfg with some general concensus here and there on particular models. And if it's best do-all models, there's some contention on opinions there too. Personally, I think most every model bike, of every mfg, ever built would have been deemed a worthy vote of best bike by someone, somewhere, everyday It's all personal preference of the choices given within the market

Gotcha. That's good news. Sometimes I see a rider turn left, out ahead of me, and fail to cancel his signal. I've no clue if he plans to turn left again or not and it frustrates me most when it's a slow rider that I urge to pass, but wont since he could be turning left again....maybe....someday
-
Was there an accident? Or just a pucker moment because you failed to kill the turn signal after turning with another vehicle?

Quick spin is all it took to get a bad case of stupid grin syndrome Was great meeting you and yours, as well. HUGE Thanks for all the extra goodies and being so patient with my schedule/weather. You're a hell of a guy to deal with.

Here's where we plan to stop and regroup with Cbus area riders, wont hang out too long - probably 20-30 minutes before we head out Eastland Shell Mini Mart 2191 South Hamilton Road Columbus, OH 43232
-
and bring the new bike out to the Spring Epic Ride tagged in Jacob's post above to meet a bunch of us
-
The wife and I aren't riding sumos that day, we'll have over 500 miles logged by the time we get back home to northern Miami county - which is just too painful on a leather cladded plank. Although sportbike seats aren't THAT much better on the tushy on a long day of riding I'll hit you up when I know I've got some spare time to see if we can book a visit down there - would like to see your progress with the 7R
-
Good to hear. Hope the weather does play nice, and nothing comes up so we can do this thing.

It's not really for fuel, but moreso to gather more riders and get off the bikes for a bit. Slabwork sucks and is a bore, and I wanted to keep a secondary meet point to give others a chance to join us instead of riding another hour by themselves to New Concord. Are you coming up to meet us man? Would be good to see you again, even if I can manage a trip down to your place for a visit before then

Welcome back. Nice new ride. Keep the user name too

Western Ohio pre-meet ride thread is up http://ohioriders.net/index.php?/topic/106952-western-ohio-meetup-for-spring-epic-ride-51615/

Thanks man, you're on my shortlist.

Ok folks, let's meet at Competition Accessories around 7:30am like we always do, before fueling up at the Shell station on the corner of Leffel Ln and S Limestone ( Rt72). Competition Accessories 343 W Leffel Ln Springfield, OH 45506 Kickstands up and hitting the eastbound I-70 pipeline @ 8am sharp. Since the new route is based in Zanesville, I'll move the midway meet point so we're not deviating from the interstate too much, but still giving some southern Ohio and Cbus area riders another collection point to hookup with an OR group. Plus give us westerners a 20-30 minute break off the dreaded slab. We should be at the secondary meet point just before 9am. Eastland Shell Mini Mart 2191 South Hamilton Road Columbus, OH 43232 Plan to head back out about 9:20ish to ensure we reach the Epic Ride meet point in New Concord by 10:15-10:30am. I'm still searching for a decent restaraunt stop in-route towards home afterwards, so if you have any idea's post them up. Hope to see stellar weather and a large number of riders this year. The new route looks sweet and will surely be a great time had by all

Like the little wife said, we'll be there ( weather pending of course ) and likely be a medium paced group. I'll lead and try to establish a sweep beforehand so our group will be less to worry about. I'll link up the western OR meet thread once I get it posted.

If you want in cheap with big or tall options, these are fairly priced but haven't researched about their quality. Worth a look though. http://www.topgearleather.com/motorcycle-racing-suits.html

Looks like a decent, state of the art idea. I'm curious of it's tolerance to washing/weather.
-
Not yet, we had 6" of snow here that killed any joyride plans. But she'll get on it as soon as it melts off the roads
-
I'm game to roll down south into your neck of the woods. Have to get a SO/NKY ride kickin'
-
Voted. Windham looks to be leading the poll so far, hopefully Newton pulls it off
-
Tigerpaw, definitely got to hang once more before you jet east bro. Was good seeing you again though.
-
Had a decent turnout tonight. Good to see everyone again, and hope you all got home safe, snow was falling when we left about 40 minutes ago

Think the total expected will be just over 20 from all 3 forums, so somewhere between 16 and 24 will probably show? Or, could be 38 come out? I dont know, it's like Ohio weather....never know
