  1. Nice.....we both ride silver bikes and both wear all black gear, surely the leo's wont confuse us at all. Guess I'll run decoy for ya until I'm out of fuel, but you'll owe me a bottle for it
  2. But hell, I'll take a sammich too
  3. Damnit Jim....hope you're happy with yourself.....took me years to coerce this woman into believing there's no such thing as days off, and here you are telling her there actually is a "Santa Claus"
  4. That sucks when it costs ya money to miss out on a ride. I'm glad we didn't opt for a cabin rental like we did last time, that would have cost us pretty big. I say rent that bolt for 48 hrs and call in sick
  5. I've pm'd or txt everyone in this thread to notify them of the change ( just in case ) and I've edited the first post with revised meet plans ( Shell station ) and restarted the list of riders as they confirm. Please chime in here or reply to my pm if you plan to attend or not, just so we can get a new total of who to expect.
  6. Well that sucks. I just now got plans squared away to allow us to make the ride Sunday. For those that can still attend, same plan is in effect but changed to Sunday May 18th.
  7. We'll try and get Sunday's schedule recalibrated to try and make this happen. Better for the whole group, I get it. I'm not pissed at anyone but Mother Nature.....she's just a cunt
  8. ATTENTION SW OHIORIDERS - RIDE IS NOW MOVED TO SUNDAY MAY 18TH! Not sure if the wife and I can make it or not, gonna see if our schedule can be changed up to make this happen.
  9. A small change of plans folks. We'll still meet at CompAcc, but about 730am we will likely be heading down the street to the Shell station on the corner of W. Leffel Ln and S. Limestone St ( Rt72 ) to fuel, get coffee to warm us up, and have a bathroom to use. I didn't consider the fact that Comp wont open until after we're gone. So, instead of standing around in the cold with no amenities, we'll head to Shell earlier to fuel up. Wife and I will be sure to check back in at Comp before the group heads out to gather up anyone that may miss this. I'll ammend the first post as well.
  10. Yeah, its gonna be another long cold ride but the afternoon will be pretty decent as long as the weather cooperates. Thats fine AJ, we plan to be at the rest stop on I-75 ( just south of Rt36 ) about 615am to meet up with kilo and his crew. We'll head from there at 630am sharp towards Springfield.
  11. Jack, or anyone else, had the opportunity to ride the route at all this week? Curious to know if road conditions have changed/improved/worsened. Hoping no limbs are down from the wind this week, and no wash out to speak of
  12. Sounds good Lee, we plan to head out from the rest stop right about 630. I'll keep my eyes peeled at the Rt55 ramp for ya.
  13. Well that sucks. See you at MidO in July though, right? Need to get together and jaw about bikes again soon
  14. Maybe, or it might flip trees and sweep the roads clean for us like giant brooms Here's to hoping any debris will be cleared away before Saturday :fingerscrossed: :toescrossed: :eyescrossed:
  15. This is a rerun Jim, Kari scooped you on this
  16. Kitty dont take no shit, territorial little bastards
  17. Hell yeah, that dog got speared
  18. I just wired mine up Sunday. 3 cig outlet with 2 usb. Battery Tender jumper off the battery hooks right to it. Fused circuit, negative grounded. Shut down for the winter, unhook the power port and plug in the Tender. Cake walk, took me sub-5 minutes to run it cleanly ( maybe 10 minutes if you need to add the jumper off your battery too ). Cost was $20 because of the extension I needed to the SAE connector. http://www.eklipes.com/EK1-122 Wish I'd have ordered this setup instead since mines in a tankbag, but I went with what was in stock locally
  19. Same here, usually swap filters every other oil change and drop the oil cold as well. Haven't heard of too many others doing the same, so kudos for being as equally eclectic I would assume over filling the pan could cause cavitation around moving parts, eventually starving them and possibly interfere with how the wash plates work with the flow in the pan? May even push some oil out of the cv tube ( case vent ) which would end up on the ground or in the airbox depending on how it's routed? Fluid capacities are spec'd for a reason Oh, and my service manual wants the bike upright with oil level towards the top of the sight glass' full mark. Wish mine used an actual dipstick so I could mark it accordingly to check it on the side stand, but the clutch basket would make quick work of it for sure
  20. Hey now. I know I'm fat and slow, but there's no need to insult my bike because she corners like a porkchop
  21. You're going to need more than that SV for the front and back straight if I'm tailing you
  22. I've heard Jackass Flats is a drunken Harley show, but I've not been to affirmate that claim
