Yep....great ride. Perfect weather, no incidents, nice pace. Couldn't have been better. Hopefully tomorrow goes just as well.

Mine, being carbureted, it doesn't have an ECU. Right? Either I'm going to buy a voltmeter or take the battery to the Honda shop down the road and have them test it. I'll post what I find out.

Wish I could help on this cause it sounds awesome, but I can't. I'll keep an eye out though. You guys able/ willing to spend any money? Just thought that info would be helpful in case anyone saw a cheap one pop up somewhere.

This drought is as bad as the dust bowl years of the Great Depression, and our economy isn't exactly thriving. I wouldn't make light of high food prices or the possibility of even a global food shortage, when the worlds breadbasket is too dry to produce food. Crazier things have happened...

If it were the battery, would that explain why it seems to lack power above 70 mph for the first 10 minutes after riding? Almost like the battery isn't providing enough spark until the alternator charges it..... Cause that's another symptom, but I thought it was a separate issue.

Seems to do it after the bike has been sitting overnight or for the first start of the day. Battery kind of makes sense for that reason now that I think about it.

Seems like lately it's been one thing after another with my bike.....but I'm learning every time and I guess that's what matters. A few times recently when starting the bike (97 ZX6R) it would click once or twice and then the starter motor would spin and start the bike. It doesn't do it every time, but it's new and hasn't done it before. I want to get it fixed before it leaves me somewhere stranded. The starter motor new is $400 and the solenoid relay is like $60. Is the solenoid relay the same as the solenoid? Both seem easy enough to fix myself....just need to diagnose what is wrong.

That's what I was planning to do.....but it looked like you signaled you were just gonna take 16 towards Cbus. It's better we didn't anyway. I stopped at KFC and checked the radar and it was raining on that route too. If you have an evening sometime this week that you want to ride man, send me a pm of something. Maybe I can come out that way and we can go South to the Hocking area or something. Still feel like I haven't got that good ride in I'm looking for...haha

Want to ride Hutch? It's raining up North do we came back south. I'm at KFC now trying to decide what to do. Was thinking about riding South where it's not raining.

I've worn combat boots or North Face hiking boots since I started riding. I also wear a helmet and jacket always. But I think any mid to high boot that covers the ankles and isn't bulky will do fine.

Going to try this again tomorrow since we were rained out today. Meet at KFC in Newark and head Northeast through Coshocton/ Millersburg and on North. KFC at noon, kickstands 12:15. Spirited/sportbike pace

Did they delay any of the racing due to the rain? Might head that way if I won't miss much. Otherwise I'm looking at tomorrow...
