  1. Yep.....not looking good. Planning on trying this again tomorrow. KFC at noon. Head north. Hopefully we'll return to the drought.
  2. I think this line of precip will pass and we'll be dry the rest of the day. For the moment I thought we'd move the start time to 1. Just to see what the line of rain does. Figures....haven't ridden in a month in the middle of a drought and the day I plan to ride its wet. Lol.... I figure if it doesn't look any better at noon we can move it to tomorrow.
  3. Yessir....I'm fired up. Should be fun.
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYUgIJFJPCA&feature=youtube_gdata_player Saw this on the news tonight. Not sure what to think. Sure is a bad place to ride that fast. Though I imagine his life was more at risk than anyone else's. But at 186 mph you could kill anyone. Somehow Canada police ID'd the rider....he's still at large. Probably wearing shorts and flipflops
  5. I think a couple of us are going out tomorrow. I've been wanting to go Northeast. Maybe we could meet up....?
  6. Planning to ride Northeast tomorrow. Head through Coshocton and keep on goin....maybe Milersburg and north. Meet at KFC at noon in Newarr. Kickstands at 12:15. Anybody wanting to go post up. Ride will be spirited/ sportbike pace.
  7. That's gorgeous big3. I've had an offer for a gun I have for an 86 VFR 500. If it looks as clean as yours I'm all over it.
  8. I do this exactly. And you're exactly right, factcheck.org and media matters are liberal think tanks.
  9. And I'm sure you think Fahrenheit 911 is educational and should be played in 5th grade classrooms across the country. Drone on, drone.
  10. Watch clips like the two links I posted above? I am an intelligent logical inquisitive person. I get my news from all sources. You can stop talking down to me with your liberal brain washed propaganda. MSNBC and CNN are just as biased the other way. And the news you speak of on Fox is actually political commentary....big difference. Doctoring audio recordings to start a race war is pretty heavy stuff. You can lay off the "NBC is real news" gibberish.
  11. And MSNBC, CNN, and the Huffington Post only tell the news....no bias involved. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/he-looks-black-nbc-launches-internal-investigation-into-selective-editing-of-zimmerman-police-tape/
  12. Though it deals with international firearms trading, many things are being discussed. One main idea is to have all private American gun owners register. Many of these nations one main goal is to make firearms only legal for governments to own. The problem is I don't trust Obama to negotiate anything for me having to do with my right to bear arms....whether foreign or domestic.
  13. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/07/11/un-arms-treaty-could-put-us-gun-owners-in-foreign-sights-say-critics/ Obama will do whatever he can to push his one world gov't, social equality, liberal ideology. Even if it means going outside the US legislature and system of gov't.
  14. Let me know on this Hutch. If you head up that way I might join ya
  15. Solved. Took it out this morning and she ran like a freight train. The fuel line must have been kinked for a little while, progressively getting more kinked til she would fall flat on her face at 70mph. The heat was the most likely culprit. Thanks for the quick advice guys. Much appreciated.
  16. I took the tank off to have a look around and it appears one of the hoses may have been crimped. I'm thinking maybe it was bent somewhat when I put the tank back on and with the heat while riding the other day, maybe it became malleable or pliable enough to almost completely kink, which would allow enough fuel to run but not enough when really accelerating. It's like it hits a wall in 4th gear at 9500 rpms......also has slow throttle response when I blip to downshift. I'll blip the first time and nothing happens and the second time I'll blip (immediately after the first) and it will blip like it should. I unkinked the partially kinked hose and placed some duct tape around it heavily to keep it from kinking and rearranged the hoses. I'm hoping that's it and will check tomorrow. If not my second solution is to run some seafoam through it. Hoping one of those two things will work. Third I'll probably change the plugs before I go messing with the carbs. I have some basic mechanical knowledge (I changed the clutch plates) but when it comes to carbs, my knowledge is lacking. Need to fix that actually. Thanks for the advice guys.....I'll let you know how it goes.
  17. Been riding my bike fine for a month or so since I replaced the fuel pump. Rode it a day or so ago in the heat and it was bogging down at about 70 miles per hour. Doesn't matter where it's at in the RPM range....it seems like once it hits 70 miles per hour it starts bogging. Starts fine, idles fine, pulls normally through 1st, 2nd and the start of 3rd gear but the it hits a wall.....almost like it's on a speed limiter. Any ideas? I know it's fuel, air or spark. Just not sure which. My guess is either carbs need cleaned or it's not getting enough fuel at faster speeds or the plugs need changed.
  18. I was lifeguard for 6 years when on the swim team in high school and for a summer job for a few years after high school. When someone is in trouble on the water they come up and back down, no noise. Lifeguards call it "climbing the ladder". I've saved a couple kids at our local YMCA in trouble that were doing just that, at the bottom of a waterslide where they were not capable of touching the bottom. Keep an eye out for those "climbing the ladder" and if you see them in trouble your response should be "reach, throw, row, go". Never swim to someone that is drowning as the first response. They are in survival mode and will take you down with them. They will stand on top of your shoulders to get air....doesn't matter if it's your wife or best friend. It's an uncontrollable response to suffocation by water. So first try to reach to them with a branch or pole. If none are available find a rope to throw to them or a buoy or flotation device. None of those are available find a boat or raft. If all else fails....then swim to them but be prepared to grab them forcefully (we took water kung fu classes to control a combative drowning swimmer in the water) and tow them on their back with your arm around their torso and under an armpit to shore or the side of the pool. Remember: Reach, Throw, Row, Go....and be safe out there.
  19. Yeah...that's exactly what his mom posted and told us he was saying. Said it was 11 on the scale to 10 after getting up to walk with crutches.
  20. Positive prognosis. Apparently the driver ran a red light and t-boned him breaking his leg. Could happen to any of us.... Keep your eyes open and head on a swivel guys.
  21. Any chance at all this can be titled and ridden on the road?
  22. The camping cost is per campsite right? It's not per person, if I recall correctly.
  23. I think you make a lot of assumptions. I was simply saying I'd be a good guest...... Unless, that's more a statement of how offensive you guys are than a statement of my likelihood of being offended.......then in that case, that's right where I want to be haha.
  24. Hahaha....probably right in there somewhere. When we were there for an Indy race 2 years ago there was a guy riding around in the bed of his pickup while someone drove him around the campground literally all night. He was waving a flag and screaming "Merica!!" for hours. Pretty hilarious. Looked for him last year but I don't think he made it back......or at least he stayed stationary last year. I was just saying, were I to hang out, I would keep the obnoxiousness to acceptable minimum levels.....which granted those levels are certainly far more lenient at MidOhio.
  25. They let you ride your bike from the parking lot or camping area down to the infield, is that correct? Or does it take some special pass?
