  1. Sounds easy for you maybe, but me not so much.
  2. Maybe should of quoted this awhile back. Anyway from what I've been told this sound is normal. From the decomp on the cam.
  3. The PCv will hold 2 maps and. If you add a switch you can switch maps on the fly. I downloaded all the maps off the PC Website for my quad. I tried a different one, but quad stalled out, so I said F that and went back to old map. I know you can ajust these on your own, but hard to know what's up with out a dyno and o2 sensor. On the up side Dillon Speed Specialist, called me today. Said he was on vacation, and would call me back Monday to schedule tune appointment. He also advised me his business is part time evenings and weekends. So that's perfect for me, except I wont be able to ride this weekend.
  4. Called him today, they advertise $75.00 per hour for full dyno tune. Maps, print out. And said most likely 1 1/2 hr. Down side, no Saturday appointments, they close early, and the week of 8/25 through memorial day he's not available. Also he said atleast a week out on scheduling. So damn that puts me to needing to take a day off work to get it tuned. I'm thinking about just buying the auto tune from power commander.
  5. Is that the place in Mount Gilead???
  6. Striking out on the dyno shop at this point. Guy said after mid July it would be his slow time. After a few days of no-one answering the phone, I drove by today to find shop closed. No sign on door or anything.
  7. Never thought of using it to wrap body parts, cool!
  8. You could always be on your way to or from a Quaker steak and lube.
  9. I was checking my valves, after the rebuild, when I noticed this snap noise? Snap or click noise is at 6 and 29 sec mark. Is this normal or something about to come loose? I don't recall hearing this when I turned crank before to locate tdc to adjust valves in the past. I do know this motor turns a lot harder and you can hear the compression exit the exhaust, just by turn over by hand. Could this just be the compression relief on the cam? Thanks for any help!
  10. Are you sure he wasn't there? There were over 300 cars, I didn't photograph half of them. It was a good show, and all proceeds went to Akron Children's hospital.
  11. This is a short slide show video, I created using the picture's I took at the show. The BuckeyeStangs car club hosted this show at Summit Racing in Tallmadge, Ohio on July 26th 2014.
  12. Wow i cant believe they totaled it out! What was the approximate speed when hitting tree?
  13. Part 1 of my ride with 5 other's in West Virginia last weekend....
  14. "400ex and 700xx" Following my cousin up a rocky hill in Wv. Not the best video a little blurry, but wanted to let you all hear the Trx after the rebuild.
  15. Right, no sense to me either. And with plenty of amps using a car battery it never cranks slow. I have to believe it's just not enough battery for the built motor. I tried calling them back today to talk to there so called battery expert, and he had the day off.
  16. No on battery. IP told me with that type of battery, you have turn key on and wait awhile before starting??? I thought it sounded like BS, and I re read directions and it dont mention it. Plus why would racers want to pay extra for a light weight battery if you stahl out there's a delay on when you can re-start.
  17. There not all like that. And if that's all you see, then I know what your focusing in on. And just blocking the young firm stuff out. Or is this just what you tell the Mrs. " Yea your right honey but there all old and disgusting to even look at" lmao....
  18. I'd love to make one of these, but it seams I will miss the second annual just like I did the 1st one. I'll be at the Rodeo with my Uncle, he brings in a big motor home. http://www.easyridersevents.com/rodeo2014-chibs-chilli.php
  19. IDK about that, the one I got is a lithium. I wish i would of held off on buying it, but didn't want to go after my quad that's been in the rebuild state for 2 months w/out a battery. I would of got one of those 275 cca ballistic batteries. lol, fix it right up with my harbor freight dremel.
  20. Piston shots or shot piston??? Heres a couple picts
  21. no no we were jumping the oem battery with a car battery before replacing.. Not jumping the new with the original...Old battery would only crank it once if just pulled from a charger...but hook cables to the car and it would fire 1st lick. if left for any time the off a charger the oem battery wouldnt do much. So I bought the 180 cca.
  22. Plus the valves being out it would be a hard start every time till valves adjusted, not just 1st start in the am then every other one during the day. I plan on readjusting the valves and oil change anyways, either before next ride or before the dyno shop. The HotCam help line recommended to break in for 8-10 hrs then check valves. The paper work with the cam said to not run below 3k for 1st hour, and not to let sit and idle for any length of time, I ran it pretty good, but never above 65,,,
  23. thx, but I don't think that's it. Cause if you hooked jumper cables up to the old oem battery it would fire right up. I don't know a lot about the PC5 but the cousin says it will control the timing and all? I have experienced hard start before, like it would crank all day fast and then start with a touch of gas when valves were out of spec. This is like it's all it can do to turn over then it fires, after a second or 2 slow crank. The oem battery would only start it if just pulled off a charger. I think I needed more CCA, something like this maybe. I wonder if Iron pony would take it back??? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ballistic-Battery-EV02-12V-LI-ION-ATV-Honda-08-09-700-TRX700XX-21130259-/321444364999?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ad793c2c7&vxp=mtr
