  1. you notice any sand/debris on the track? there is a lot in the video as you brake/turn into the chicane at the end of the front straight...few other spots, but not nearly as heavy Looked pretty damn sweet, wish I would have signed up.
  2. Why is that? Need to snag a set to try out the different carcass. I plan for 4 days out a GPA rear(flipping to balance wear)...Most of the time it goes beyond that, but I also take em down to the point there is no siping on the sides and traction degrades significantly. Fronts...plan for 2x the life.
  3. I shift just like normal, blip and all. I never thought I was "using" it, until I went to PIRC on my stock bike.....was hopping the rear like mad at first as I adjusted to not having a slipper. IMHO the slipper allows you to concentrate on other things while reducing the likelyhood of one of those "crap" moments that can happen when you don't rev match well. Downshift 4 times, throw out the clutch and turn in for china beach at mid-o? no thanks.... That sounds like your rear is still skipping in 4th and 3rd in that video....how is the front on braking?Diving at all? you just need to brake harder so it is floating off the ground the whole time....
  4. Shoot me a price please.
  5. ^ consider that the best way to respring....how I scored my penske
  6. 39's at mid-o on q3's? Get on DOT's for the safety factor alone(I found Q2's to be unpredictable at the end of life, GPA's have a forgiving degradation as the siping wears off). Generator and warmers will let you get up to pace quicker; maximizing value of the track time. Over the winter, run the spring calculator; if something is off that is you starting point. If not, a suspension fluid change out would not be a bad idea along with other maintenance. Next, prepay for some tracktime....
  7. bike sprung for your weight? any idea of when the fork oil was last changed out? Took my street bike to the last track day.....out of all the goodies (slipper, full exhaust, power commander, quick shifter...) the only thing that robbed me of confidence was the suspension. Compared to the trackbike it just felt unpredictable, and you can't push when you don't know what the bike is going to do.
  8. For that bike, I'd become a fair weather rider and stop buying take-offs......at least for the sake of the carbon fiber. Along with that, I'd be taking out my own policy for benefactors as well.
  9. http://www.ninja-h2.com/ looking for sponsors
  10. Wouldn't mind hearing about the track either....RSVP'd for the frequent rider appreciation day
  11. Welcome Andrew! Sorry Craig is too lazy to mount and turn on his camera....you know, so we could all review the stuffing action as if we were Rossi himself.
  12. dirtbike bars on a street bike are fun as hell, think I have a set sitting around as well
  13. Bike whore....I'll trade u 2 for the new 1. That way you can get back on the street.
  14. Jeff and I have a parts exchange system in place, so he is going to get a newer bike after this......then I'll upgrade and the system will continue. Bump for the cleanest bike you are going to find(let alone for an 02). Got to ride it at PIRC last week; everything felt great!
  15. Want to, but we have way too much going on at work to get time off. Have fun!
  16. Rusty, good to hear you are home. Heal up well over the winter! Jeff, thanks for letting me tool around on the 750! Guess I screwed up with the camera, only had 2 videos after the day was over. 4th session of intermediate. Mock starts...Craig got the license plate # off the the tail of the street bike on the 3rd start.
  17. so sad that the Moto Series season is over...really regret not racing today.
  18. hopefully.....doubt I'll get there till around 9
  19. You talking about my FI code switch under the seat? Just need the stock one functioning
  20. Normally transponder rentals are free for the first round after race school....if not you can borrow mine. What is left to prep on the bike that we couldn't knock out Saturday?
  21. Planning on it....Unfortunately the track bike has too much to fix in the short timeframe so I'm bringing the street bike.
  22. Anyone else planning on showing up Friday evening? I've got a bit a work to do, but I'm hoping everything will be ready to roll by then.
