Also, use some degreaser and clean the crap out of the wheel bearings and re-grease them with some high temp wheel bearing grease. Damnit, now I need to go to harbor freight since I looked at their website.

lol post that while it is snowing here and people would have murdered you I was extremely close to taking a similar ride late last year. I was supposed to go to LA for work and I was going to have some free time while I was out there. Planned to rent a bike and make a loop to the North over 2 days. Unfortunately, the work trip got canceled last minute and so did my epic ride plans Like you said, I was planning it mainly for the view and to get away to enjoy the road for a couple days.

Didn't realize we were doing that long of a ride, saw the mileage and figured it would be 2-3hrs max from kickoff at noon. I'm guessing you will do just fine Look forward to seeing you back out there.

Call me crazy, but I had mesh gloves on last weekend. I had winter gloves and A* gp plus gloves in my tank bag, but I never hit the numb point, so I didn't switch. I do have an additional layer of blubber that some do not come equipped with, but the 50 degree ride was not all that bad. If we are doing a shorter ride, I may keep riding after if anyone is interested. I need to be back in Cleveland at 6, so it cannot be anything too long. I just want to maxamize the twisty/slab ratio

You sign up for the 4th? Race school HJ's....that sounds like a hazing ritual that will be fun.

I've considered it....if it was any further of a slab, I probably would. Straight slabs are like torture. If it was twisties on the way there, I'd ride 2 hours down and back and be the whole way. Edit: Never really thought of it, if someone from Cleveland wants to trailer down and split gas, I'd be game.

Only time I really get up in the revs is on acceleration and using engine braking...constant speed I get through the gears pretty quick. I guess I've programmed myself so that if I keep the engine revving I'll keep accelerating, it just feels weird if I don't click through.

Keeping the 600 awake while maintaining fuel economy takes a lot of shifts Hopefully there is similar weather next weekend, looking forward to another ride.

Checked the settings, I remember there was an option for mobile devices, but I can't find it now.

Thanks for the comments abt the video. I cant wait to get a second camera and get out riding again. Get any work done on the bike?
