  1. Thanks Jeff, looking forward to the next track day or the dream ride. I checked the video for more areas where I was trailing you, what you saw from the first two sessions is about all I have. Everything else is either stuck in traffic, fogged up, or flybys
  2. haha I know, it was a split second decision to either stay down and risk losing traction on the grass/rumble strip(never touched that surface before so I had no idea of the traction), or put it upright and roll off the track....I chose to stand it up and take the bumpy ride. In my mind my front tire was basically beside the rear of the next bike...it obviously was not from looking at the video. I could have easily turned in a little more and stayed on track; hell if I leaned in more earlier I could have passed on the inside on the exit. Riding with packs is something I'm really going to have to work on.
  3. ^ yep, agreed 100%. I was leaning with the upper body much more at nelson, outside arm resting on the tank and head out on the inside. With a back protector in my suit it tightens up, making it much more forced and physical to tuck and lean to the inside with the upper body. Suit breaking in and shedding a few lb's should fix that.
  4. lol Since the 1st my bike has been parked on a trailer other than 3 track days. I think she is becoming a track whore.
  5. Morning was rough, but it was time well spent figuring out lines and just getting more track time. The afternoon was about perfect; not too hot, not too cold, track was as dry(other than a couple off-line puddles). Even by the time I made my adventure off track, the grass was drying up.
  6. Had a lot of fun yesterday, learning a lot every lap and every break between the sessions. Thanks to everyone who helped to point out how screwed up my suspension is....by the end of the day with the adjustments we made it felt like a whole new bike. Still need to drop some lb's or get some heavier springs for the front; both of those will be upcoming projects. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdUAipP_jvQ Now for my fuckup of the day; put myself in a bad position and basically pushed myself off the track. Had a ton of other options, but I felt like I was on top of and to the outside of the yellow bike. The one thing I'm not yet comfortable with is riding in close proximity. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmKS1WvkYOs
  7. Today turned out better than expected. 3 sessions of wet riding in the morning with nothing too crazy and closed the day with 4 session of nice dry conditions. Race safe tomorrow!
  8. I'll be getting there a little after 7 don't start the pre-day circle jerk without me!

    More LEOs?

went down 77 to Akron on Thursday, never seen as many cops in such a short period of time. It was constant sightings from Cleveland to Akron and back. If I was on the bike, I would have had at least one ticket on that trip.
  10. Some people just need to be bitch slapped into submission; this is one of those people.
  11. So is there camping/sleeping in the backseat of car fees? I'd love to check out the races Sunday but on't want to drive.
  12. you dont sleep, what is watching 10 hours of gopro footage?
  13. I'll see if I can call him tomorrow....literally been running around non-stop for work the past week. Leading a full day of training tomorrow, so I'll have to try and sneek out during lunch to make a few calls.
  14. how quick does Todd normally respond to emails? I sent one awhile back but never heard anything. I'm not sure if I should sign up through the site or not because he said he would reimburse my suit rental. At this point I might as well wait it out to see the weather, but I don't want it to completely fill up and be screwed....
  15. I call being her sweeper! and the self addressed envelope w SD card is a good idea. I'd even go as far as to label the SD card and envelope with a number so it cannot be mistaken which gets sent back to who.
  16. yeah it does if I can sell the yz I'd probably pick one up. Haven't got the time on the dirt I expected when I picked up the dirtbike....coworkers talked a big game, and fizzled out when I picked up the bike.
  17. yes.... just like email spam.... just like pop ups....
  18. Put me down for one. I can pay via paypal or at PIRC, whichever is better for you. Sorry to hear about your brother, couldn't find the words to post in the other thread.
  19. Meant track fees, not component costs.
  20. Hmmm how much to get it on a track?
  21. Carolina motorsports park in north central SC.
  22. so here is a question, since water would be dissipating heat much faster, I'm guessing you would want a lower tire pressure just like the cold morning scenario.....how much lower? Or is this only something you would do on full rain tires?
  23. doh....no good for a squid track rider like me would have went too
  24. I dont see any dates past September on their site?
  25. I'm tired of dealing with insurance at this point, I probably should, but I'm debating about dropping coverage and making it a track bike. When I find something else for the street I will. zip code doubling my coverage cost though? I understand they evaluate based on a multitude of variables, but to have a premium jump 200% because of a zip code change is insane. And for shits and giggles....my coverage for renters went up $2. So I'd like to have them explain how that fits in with ANY type of logic.
