  1. Looks like “shopping out of old shipping containers”?!? Wtf? Mixed-use development plans presented for Cooper Stadium site https://www.10tv.com/article/mixed-use-development-plans-presented-cooper-stadium-site-2019-aug

    CR decals

So is that like a grey or silver center? If you guys decide to do an open center or white in the future I’ll get new ones but for now I’ll keep reppin’ my older decal on my car. If you have some the next time I see you I’ll get one for something else.
  3. The high and low sides begin to equalize when the compressor isn’t pumping. That video is normal of a low charge. Probably slowly leaking somewhere, first thing you can do is see if there’s any compressor oil seeping out of any of the A/C components. Condensers are a pretty common point of failure in older vehicles.
  4. Low side pressure going high when the compressor kicks off is normal. If the compressor is on when this happens it’s a concern. 20psi with the compressor running sounds like a low system charge.
  5. Enjoy taking shit while leaching, hypocrite. :dumb:

  7. No one wants an 05 Equinox? Lol. Sorry I couldn’t help it. Good car to maybe donate for a tax break.
  8. Sale pending on Facebook we’ll see how this goes.
  9. Yes I did. It's apart, I'm keeping the engine for my Camaro. So what it is, 1997 Corvette targa top, 6 speed manual car, 59XXX miles. The trans and diff blew apart last week, and I have decided that I have spent enough money on this car. So currently the engine is out of it, the trans, diff, axles, torque tube are all paperweights (not in the car, nor included), and it's stripped down. All wiring is in good shape, engine harness and all modules included. Interior is complete minus shifter. Seats are typical crappy C5 seats and worn out (leather is decent). The Z06 wheels and Wilwood brakes are still on the car, and I'd gladly take them off and sell it with the factory wagon wheels much cheaper. CR price $2000 with factory wheels and no brakes, $4000 with Z06 wheels and Wilwoods. The factory wheels will not fit over these brakes so that's not an option. If someone buys this before I have to have it towed home from work, cash talks, come get this thing. Obviously I will be selling other parts from this car that won't fit my Camaro, and will make posts accordingly. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1029&pictureid=9417 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1029&pictureid=9416 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1029&pictureid=9415 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1029&pictureid=9413 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1029&pictureid=9421
  10. Glad I’m not the only one who looked at the reactions in this thread and thought “really? A wagon? Did I miss something?” Glad you like your new car.
  11. R22 is very expensive, R410a isn’t bad. Don’t know off hand because I only really work on cars.
  12. GM’s little 1.5 and 1.4 turbo engines in the Malibu and Cruze (new stuff 2016 and up), claim 87 octane. I’ve also put a dozen or so sets of pistons in them. The big brother 2.0l turbo that’s basically the same engine requires premium. Can’t speak for Ford but GM runs these things lean anyway. Relying on the knock sensor to pull timing when gasoline is subpar or things get pushed is just stupid in my opinion. I suggest to people all the time to run at least 89 if they plan to keep the car. The lease returns and trade ins after the warranty runs out will likely be junk. This article is a little misleading. ECMs (at least the cars I’ve delt with, even late model GMs) have an ignition timing table and logic to pull timing when the knock sensor picks up on it, typically a low timing table is used for the ECM to interpolate between when the knock sensors are reacting. Saying that it adds timing until it sees knock then corrects is bullshit. As a car enthusiast who takes care of his personal stuff using good fuel to prevent it in the first place is ideal. Unfortunately the average person is ill informed or simply doesn’t care and in a world where mileage and emission standards are king many of these engines will not last long term.
  13. You wanna see, you can be my wife and mine’s porn video editor.
  14. We’ve been debating about selling my daughter’s Cobalt so she can take over the wife’s. 2007 with something like 170k, A/C works, suspension is tight, brakes are new. I bought it cheap for her and put a reman cylinder head on it, new chains, water pump, ect. Really good mechanically, just your typical old Cobalt. Probably isn’t worth alot, hell it probably isn’t something most people would want their kids in, but the recalls have all been done and it’s as safe as any other smaller car. Wife wouldn’t let me get her a big car anyway.
  15. My Mom is a member of the teachers union and has suggested some college classes to me also because they would be free. Not sure what I’d have enough interest in. Without some serious interest in something it would just be a waste of time.
  16. So while this is a good idea and I don’t want to disagree because I think there is some roads trip I haven’t thought of, I’m not super keen on it. Over the last 4-5 years I traveled a decent amount for training. I’ve been to New York (didn’t like it at all), been to Chicago (not all bad, but I’ve seen it), went to Spring Hill Tennessee were I checked out the Corvette museum on the way, been to Richmond Virginia (kinda dull, unless you want shot), been to Detroit (kind of interesting if you’re careful), been to Harrisburg PA (pretty damn boring), so I've been around most typical driving distances (and on someone else’s dime). So maybe I’m a little tired of all the driving, and I can’t stand the idea of leaving my dog somewhere so then my wife can’t go. I know it sounds like a bunch of excuses but sometime very soon I’m supposed to go to Vegas for C8 training so I will be traveling whenever the details get worked out. Hopefully I’ll be able to work a vacation day or something into this trip so I can check it out beyond a couple hours outside of class. I am looking forward to that. I also have tickets to see Lewis Black, then Kathleen Madigan, then Slayer this fall so it’s not like I’m doing nothing at all. I really miss the days when I really looked forward to Friday night and Saturday when I knew I’d see friends and have fun, just seems like another day of the week most of the time anymore.
  17. I kart raced from 8 years old until I was 15. Believe me when I tell you I know what’s involved to be competitive. We didn’t go if we didn’t have shot at winning. Sometimes I do miss it. Probably one of the best ways to get on track wheel to wheel.
  18. Refinancing was still the right choice, debt is very easy to manage now and my credit score is as high as it’s ever been. Besides I still have $50k of equity in my house. I may still move.
  19. Life is crazy. I'm at a point now that I never really thought about when I was younger. My daughter is 18, my career is where I want it, and the only goals I have are boring money oriented ones, like paying off my house. At this point I have lots of free time, and nothing to do. Sure I have chores and stuff I could do, but being pretty burnt out on cars I don't really have any enjoyable hobbies. Not to mention most of my friends are not at this point in life, they have younger kids because they didn't start so damn early, or are still working on their careers. Most of them seem to stay busy with their lives. My wife and I are happily married, but feel similar. Wouldn't mind doing some stuff with her. My daughter is figuring her life out and doing ok. I really like my job overall and can't picture myself doing anything else. Anyway looking for something other then some typical things, I have no interest in going to a gym, or doing things that feel like work. Unfortunately my job has ruined my hobbies, and being responsible has ruined street racing. So yeah I'm bored, if you read all that, thanks. /rant.
  20. Well since the police frown upon people having this stuff (people have told me it’s illegal but I doubt it) I don’t think you can get it anywhere short of the internet or a tool truck. I need to get one myself. My Dad works for AAA and has all this stuff, lockouts aren’t too hard with the tools.
  21. Clay- if you want people to be able to respond you need to reopen the thread. I’ve been paying for it for over a year. Seems to be worth it to me. I do however have to log back into their app on my Roku box every so often. Just had to do it again so I suppose they updated something.
  22. I’d look at a Brad Penn or Joe Gibbs oil, something with extra zinc in it. Anything you buy cheap isn’t going to have that. Or ask your engine builder what he thinks you should use. Curious as to why at this point in time he wouldn’t want you to use synthetic, I’d probably do it anyway if it were me.
  23. There isn’t much to take apart on a Camaro or S10, on that cobalt you have to hang the engine, take the front suspension apart, and drop the subframe. Warranty time to put syncros in a Spark (I know lol) a few months ago was over 12 hours. That’s warranty time. Nobody is trying to rip you off.
