  1. It's a forged 370 with some crappy hand ported ls1 heads and a nitrous friendly cam. The cam isn't nearly as aggresive as most LS1s use. It did make over 600 on spray a few years ago, so you can see where the original intent was
  2. Would like to see the difference in power from putting a manual in the Camaro, last time it was on Brian's dyno it made 380whp all motor. So it would be cool to see 400+, so I'm curious how much power the auto really robbed.
  3. Dynotune has a 2WD dynojet, it's mounted in a very nice trailer since it's technically mobile (don't think it's been out of the shop in quite some time). Brian takes great care of it, I've rented dyno time from him multiple times with zero issues.
  4. I'll go see it, but will be taking my daughter at some point this week or next.
  5. I have never had a FWD or AWD anything. Various trucks on all season tires, an old Miata a couple winters ago on Blizzaks, and I have always gotten through winter just fine. Would I drive my Mazdaspeed Miata coat it with salt and risk ripping off the air damn, no. Would I drive my Camaro and never get anywhere, no. A lot of RWD cars do fine, but if the car handles rain well, it'll handle snow on appropriate tires well. For example my Camaro would slide around in the rain easily when it was stock, even with snow tires I doubt it would be very good, however a Miata is still really controlled in the rain and having driven one on snow tires I can say that it will work fine.
  6. Well I'm not a Porsche guy by any means, but I think that is one sexy ass car. The tailights are subtle and I think a nice touch, I doubt I would've noticed just casually looking.
  7. Will be at the hangout, dragging a friend as well.
  8. I've got some used head bolts laying around, but it sounds like you took care of it.
  9. Any number of things can effect fuel economy, basically anything causing drag or rolling resistance is what should be looked at along with making sure the engine is operating effeciently. Proper brake function with no drag, proper trans function with no slip, properly inflated tires, tires that aren't excessivly worn or soft, excess weight in the vehicle. When someone scans the vehicle for codes they should also be looking at fuel trims to help judge proper operation, and if they don't know why you should find someone who understands what they are looking at. Looking at o2 sensor operation to see that they are coming to life quickly after start up and switch fairly quickly. Obviously the last few require a decent scan tool, and a tech with a little knowledge.
  10. Didn't read through the whole thread, but I'm going to post this anyway. C6 Z06 Carbon!! http://photos.ecarlist.com/E6/oW/l8/vo/Fg/9X/16/c8/eL/Zu/kw_640.jpg
  11. Cars and Coffee is every saturday sir. Might just see you there.
  12. Sean Butt (Crossle) has done quite a few of them, he works at northend wrench. I have done my share as well, they're not a big deal. Surprised you don't want to do it Anson.

I might be down for the gangbang.
  14. Okay, thats a start, got any pictures?
  15. I'm down to check it out as making the drive out to Kilkare on a weeknight typically doesn't work out for me. So I'm glad somebody is trying to do more at Trails. I'm sure this isn't your first venture on the internet so don't pay any mind to the negativity.
  16. Well I'm not coming if there isn't CR people for me to hang out with, so you may want to consider the 4th.
  17. I don't see the point of this vehicle, other then some hillbilly thinking a V8 makes everything better.
  18. look I'm posting more rondomness on your CR wall
  19. In that chassis it isn't going to take much to get there. If it were me I rather have forged pistons and a decent h-beam rod then just upgraded rod bolts for a more reliable bottom end. The stock crank should hold up fine in a 600-700 hp (this always gets debated but it seems like a safe level) engine, port some 317s, some small frame 88mm turbo (I'm no turbo guy but in this ball park), and let the thing eat. If it doesn't go fast enough turn up the boost.
  20. That sucks to hear. He was involved in some great movies. RIP
  21. You can worry about the Solstice, it has the same column as a Cobalt. I got Chad the parts to repair his.
  22. The lock cylinders were a major issue and have been a special policy for quite some time. They will be replacing the elecrtical switch that attaches to the back of the cylinder, and it isn't the same part as other GMs.
  23. Yeah read about that last week from GM, can't wait to start doing a bunch of those things. Hasen't been started yet and no parts are available either.
