Every tree that was downed should have been supervised and completed as a team. Safety gear, the tree safely tied off and scouts taking turns cutting. We did everything as a team in Scouts, yes we fucked off when we could, but with something like this, it would have been a controlled environment period. Its obvious to me where the issues are and why this happened. Lack of good/educated leadership! I have thought about getting my boy enrolled in Scouts here, but I have heard to many bad comments from other parents about the idiots running the group. RIP fellow rider!

Gun, bow, crossbow = hunting to me. Not going to hate on someone who actually enjoys hunting just because they use a gun. It's about the thrill of the hunt and filling the freezer for me, not glory by buck. You know you can hunt with a bow during gun season. If you are actually serious about it then blow the dust of your mighty bow, drop a few arrows into a target and let's go. It would be nice to have someone else to hunt with.

Here are a few recent pics from last week. Getting busy around here! Forgot to set the time and date for these, this weeks pics will let me know when they are coming in.

LOL! You have to actually hunt Brian to make it count! I have tried to get you to come with me and you chickened out.

I may be interested, I am just struggling to find the time to get out. I did get the crossbow sighted in and ready for deer sleighing.

You haven't hunted in years, do you even own a bow anymore?

It doesn't matter how many miles to me, I go to hang out with the OR peeps and have a great ride!

That was insane! I wonder what the top speed was on some of those straights, that dude was flying!

Not a fan of 555 for the same reasons as others have stated. I was very excited the first time we hit the triple nickel and it was a great disappointment. There was gravel in almost every turn, cars pulling out in the blind turns, just couldn't get any rhythm. We ended up looping around and hitting 78 all the way across to Caldwell, now that is a great road!

I have Allstate for everything bundled (house, cars, motorcycle), its the cheapest we have found. Still paying for my helicopter ride after my accident, it cost $27,000 and insurance didn't put a dent in it and most helicopter services are private, so there is no negotiating on the fees like you can with hospitals/doctors. What most don't realize is the medical coverage for yourself is minimal with all of the insurance providers, even at full coverage, it is designed to cover passengers and the other vehicle/passengers involved in the accident. I found out that my insurance would only cover my medical expenses (the driver) up to $5,000 and that is it. We asked if this could be raised and the most they offer is $10,000, so of course we raised it to the max as it only cost a few dollars extra a year for this option. Just surprised as I have full coverage for all automobiles and the motorcycle and still ended up screwed after my accident. I always thought the major medical you carry on your auto insurance covered everyone including the driver.

Well it's that time of year that I transition from rider to hunter. Putting out my food plot and trail camera today. Also, going to do a once over on the ladder stand to see if it's good to go. Just wanted to shout to all the OR hunters to see if you got any nice trail cam pics yet? This is one from last October.

I have three Sears Craftsmen torque wrenches, small one that does in lbs., medium one that will go to about 40 ft lbs. and a larger one that goes to about 150 ft lbs. They were a little pricey, but I didn't want junk. I use all three when working on my bike/friends bikes.

Nice ride, I really like the matching painted bags. My next bike will have factory painted hard bags.

This is the first time I have heard of this issue as well. I know the FZ1 has a longer jog from first to second, maybe this was the issue with the early year models and it caused 2nd gear to wear out prematurely.

I have made my stance on this every time this topic comes up. In Ca. it can work simply because of the volume of riders that commute and most of the car drivers understand that lane splitting is commonplace there. It won't work in Ohio. Most people driving cars now a days are asshats and are entitled to be in front of you and how dare you pass them. I have had numerous people give me the bird, try to race me for position, cut me off, tailgate, etc. just to keep me behind them. I am pretty sure this wasn't part of the driving test at the DMV. I don't know where it comes from, could it be jealousy, haters, entitlement, IDK but it is getting worse. I won't lane split for this reason, it is not worth the aggervation or confrontation and yes most of these are women! If people were more curtious and understood this is a legal form of moving through traffic on two wheels, then I would have a different opinion. I don't see this happening even if it was legalized here, I just see more accidents and hurt riders.

I had to watch this like five times to try and figure out what the hell went wrong. He clearly target fixated after he hit that bump and I agree it sounded like the throttle lock stuck and he panicked.

This happens to everyone, including myself. I can remember a few times I tried to pass multiple cars just barely tucked it in. I remember doing this on 78 a few years back to get around some slower traffic trying to keep up with my group and stuffing it into a blind turn only to notice a farmer with a plow just pulled out in front of me. That was a oh shit moment for sure, but as others have said I kept my cool and safely slowed with as much brake I could muster without sliding. I am definitely more conservative on passing than I used to be, but the key is to ride your own ride and if I loose my group, so what, I know they will be waiting for me at the next stop. I wouldn't worry too much man, just brush it off as learning experience and learn from your mistake. As others have warned above, just don't ride scared, it is a huge distraction and can get you into trouble quick.
