  1. I might have to give him a try, I have a spare seat laying around. My problem is, I need it to be no taller than stock, preferably lower. Also, it has to be slightly shorter, front-to-back to fit with my aux tank. The Sargent I'm using now is this way, but not great for 14hr days.
  2. Out of the country, so mine's stuck in the garage at work again.
  3. I spend a fair amount of time helping my sons think past the liberal BS their teachers cram down their throats.
  4. The lightning over there triggers killer asthma...even in people that never had it before. But yea, the motorcycling in the Blue Mountains was really cool and the people I rode with are some of the greatest I've ever met.
  5. I wish I could commit to this right now, but I get a meager three weeks of vacation a year, two of which are automatically dedicated to family. The other five days have to be split among a half dozen motorcycle events I'd like to make each year, not to mention the couple days I use so I can ride to mandatory training events as opposed to taking the dreaded airlines. Essentially, I'm hoping that weekend has a hole in the flying schedule, so I can slip away. Unfortunately, I won't know until the week before. In short, don't plan around me, even though I really hope to make at least part of this.

Last time I was in Auckland, we ran into a guy with a BGSU Falcons shirt. Once he retired, him and his wife sold everything and moved to New Zealand. He said the immigration process was lengthy.

I get to South Africa every few years on the company dime, which is as close as I'll ever get to doing something like this. Take lots of pictures so we can ride along with you in spirit.
  8. Kinda like buying a tractor, yet I'm still considering it.
  9. Looks like a good plan, I may be able to make the first couple of days.
  10. 124,000 and counting. Sent the last two oil samples in for analysis and they came back excellent. I broke mine in per the manual...ish.
  11. I've been there dozens of times and couldn't imagine riding my bike in that area. We don't even bother staying down there anymore, just use PT or Uber to wander around on foot, then get back out. Too much chaos.
  12. Nice bike, congratulations!
  13. Andersons has huge grain silos in several spots along the Maumee river. The retail stores were never really meant to be a large chunk of their business, but were always a cool interface for an ag company to connect with the community. Historically, the stores made a small profit, until recently. The last half dozen years the stores have been losing a mil or two each year. Inside info says this is partly due to the economic downturn, but also due to some very poor management decisions over the years by an Anderson family member responsible for the retail side. It's like any other failed business, there's a mix of problems.
  14. We spend a couple hundred at Andersons two or three times a month.
  15. I'd like to make this, sounds like fun. There's a poor chance that work will actually let me though.
  16. You've obviously never gone through the adoption process.
  17. "Let go of her, she's pregnant!" She shouldn't be allowed to breed the next generation of thieves.
  18. Yep. Mine went into a loop that I couldn't get to stop. Made me want to throw it in the ditch.
