On the way... Power Commander is in, Ignition module is close, block off plates are on their way along with the air filter. Dad cleared out a spot in one of his cabinets for the bodywork during the build. I couldn't believe how light the bodywork is. I don't know what was on my CBR but it seems so much heavier then this. The primer looks good, should be easy to prep for paint.
Awesome, thanks guys. Looks like I'm getting Armor Bodies. I've painted quite a few things (in a previous life I built guitars) but just hate sanding... I'll give Paul a call when I get the bodywork fit and see what he can do. Otherwise, I'm going matte black and I'll find a spare set of wheels to powdercoat green.
Yeah man, get another Daytona! Remember telling me to buy jbot's earlier this year? P.S. I have 1400 miles on mine. (700 of which came after you put your's in the garage for the winter) P.P.S. Katie likes mine better then the FJR, so thanks for letting us demo this one.
GLWS, seriously, this is a great bike and Tim's a good guy. Somebody is going to get a great bike.
I happy to give Paul a call and talk about it. Do you have his number or email?
Getting the pretty strong feeling Hotbodies are not the way to go! haha Paul may have a preference. I'll check out the others tonight. I don't really mind waiting to have the work done, not like I'll be on the track any time soon...
I want to get track bodywork for the Triumph. Don't know shit about track only bodywork, quick search led me to Hot Bodies, they currently have a 2 for 1 sale. Sounds good if the product is ok? Also need paint. I've seen folks here talk about Paul Finn, Attack painter. Facebook page seems old for that, anybody have current contact information for him?
I like the new route ideas. Agree with whoever it was who said cutting through Hocking two and from will be a nice addition for those of us traveling East to meet spot.
I did 83, 78, 377, 550, 339, and back to 83 the other direction today. All very good condition except for a bit of 339 I think? It was getting prepped for new blacktop so was all grooved and whatnot for a few miles.
Head east, 555 is good, not the most fun I've had though. Check out the Epic Ride threads for mapped out day rides that about anybody can hit. @Hellmutt or @snot may have suggestions for routes closer to Dayton.
