  1. OK, I'm bored at work, so I figured why not start a topic. Let's see how this goes. Maybe it will give others ideas when decided what gear to buy on their next purchase. What do you wear when riding, on a 75 degrees and Sunny day? Helmet: Shoei Neotec with Tinted Pinlock Shield & Sena 10U Jacket: Rev'it Levante with D3O Armor & Seesoft Back Protector Pants: Tourmaster Venture Air 2.0 Boots: TCX X-Five Goretex Gloves: Alpinestars SP-X Air Carbon Etc: Basketball Shorts, Klim Riding Briefs, Moisture Wicking Shirt, and Alpinestars Riding socks under gear.
  2. I find it interesting that there is a higher percentage at hitting a pedestrian than being hit from behind by another vehicle. This study sure doesn't help those lobbying for filtering. I knew intersections were gonna be a big factor, and that seems to be my main area of concern when riding through towns.
  3. Shit I eat whatever I want when I'm on vacation
  4. Rode it to work. Hopefully gonna get some service stuff done tonight, get everything ready for the Ozark-apalooza.
  5. Just rode with a back protector for the first time. Surprising how comfortable it is and I feel like I keep better posture with it.
  6. Finally got some for the car, thanks to @Tonik
  7. What's everyone's plan for Friday June 2nd? I'm still up in the air about my route. I don't know if i wanna go through Cincinnati or Lexington. I'm only 4.5 hours away, so I will probably work a half day and leave SEO at noon.
  8. For sale is my Rev'it Airwave Jacket. I bought it almost exactly 2 years ago. Jacket is size 3XL. At the time, I was 5'10" 280lbs and it fit kinda tight. Now at 228lbs, it is just too loose and I bought another Rev'it in a different size today. The jacket does have some very little wear marks. This thing breathes alot of air, but does okay for cooler weather if you have a heated liner or down jacket. It has always been cleaned with Nikwax Tech Wash. Factory Knox shoulder and elbow protectors have always been installed. Adjustment snaps on arms and velcro adjustment at waist. Velcro wrist closures. OR Price $70
  9. Just picked up a new riding jacket. Finally a Craigslist deal that worked without a hitch.
  10. Doc, I'm sure you'll make a great ride video for us.
  11. Left the ignition key on and drained my battery. Hopefully I can charge it back up on the trickle charger and it will be alright...
  12. Just made it home. Roughly 230 miles. It was great to meet new people and recognize some familiar faces. For those going to the Gap Trip, see you soon.
  13. The link in OP is working for me. Tonik posted GPX and ITN files on page 13.
  14. Tri-coats, pearls, and candies can be a real pain sometimes. Looks like it turned out great.
  15. Yes, i figured why not, its cheap and meets Yamaha's requirements.
  16. I was gonna wash it but figured what's the point, it's gonna get dirty tomorrow. Checked the tires, tightened highway pegs, changed oil, and cleaned the windshield.
  17. Same here, it will depend how it looks in the morning for me.
  18. The T30s felt kinda slick for the first 30 miles of curves for me. Then they got real nice and stuck like glue.
  19. I had one silver and two blacks. Silver is stuck in my saddlebag and the blacks are on my Neotec and my Qwest.
  20. For those worried about melting, maybe I suggest something like this...
