At the last minute A and B rotating teams turned into everybody WFH.

I'm in the same boat. Originally they were going to divide the IT teams into A and B with alternating days in the office. That changed to full WFH for for office folks. The news that the virus can survive for a couple of days on surfaces pushed them over the edge.

I'd like to get out for a bit this afternoon. I at least want to go take a lap around the lake to knock the dust off.

That is no joke. I have lost 30lbs and have been hitting the weights. I still look like a 40lbs of hammered dog shit in a 30lb bag.

I stocked up a little bit yesterday on my weekly trip to Costco. Canned items like soup, tuna, chicken, etc. Things that are easy to prepare up in case we all get knocked down at once. If this blows over then I'll donate it to the local food pantry I got some extra cleaning supplies like paper towels, TP, Clorox wipes. This will get used eventually in any case. Couple of cases of water. Won't go to waste. Not sure why I bought this except out of habit. The water supply isn't going to get cut off. Couple of extra bottles of hand sanitizer. I'll take one and leave it on my desk at work. Extra bottle of pain reliever/fever reducer I'm half worried about the virus and half worried that the supply chain from China is going to get fucked up. I can WFH to some degree but the wife and kid will drag it home so I'm not sure that it matters.

That is disappointing. I've been looking at flashing my bike now that the warranty is long gone. Woolrich was top of the list.

I watched a two hour youtube video on elevators this morning. They covered the major systems, how they work and what security flaws can be exploited. I need a fucking life.. LOL Edit - I'm in InfoSec and have tried to start building out a Red Team program where I work but it's slow going. No physical tests yet but hopefully I'll get there.

I haven't posted in this thread for a while. I started at a high of 248 lbs a few months ago. I got down to 220 and stuck there for a while to the point that I was almost ready to give up. Right now I'm hovering at 215. In order to look decent I probably need to be somewhere around 200. I've also decided that I am going to start resistance training. I used to be pretty hard core so the idea of starting again is painful because of how weak I am 18 years since I quit. I'm hoping that building up a little bit of muscle mass will help me with my overall metabolic rate. We'll see. I have a bench and some free weights in the basement so I'll start there. Once I don't feel like a complete putz I'll start using the freebie gym at work. Here I go!

I never made it. I have a certification test to take tomorrow afternoon so I decided to study instead of logging four hours on the road. Plus all of you fuckers are going to get snake flu now from the Taiwanese dudes that sell shit at those conventions. LMAO

I didn't make it last year. Is it worth the trip for us mid staters?

I'm not sure how far I'll go but I will certainly take both bikes out for 30 minutes or so to knock the dust off. The GSXS needs a bath from a wrong turn onto a dirt road.

Overall she was too much in shock to react. I wrapped the keys up in a small box with a couple of Iron Pony T-shirts. She was initially annoyed about the shirts but quickly found the keys. I left the dealer tag on the ring so that she would know what it was. We told her to go look in the garage. I knew that she was confused because she asked me if I was going to sell my GSXS for the cruiser. We will see how motivated she is to go get her permit.

If it were up to me I would have kept my FZ-07 and let her learn on that. If she doesn't like it I'll ride it to work until I get sick of it and then list it on FB.

I ended up with a Suzuki S40. What a pig! Hopefully she likes riding it.

Yea. $3999 plus tax and title and 5 IP t-shirts. I tried to get them to throw in some store credit but they wouldn't budge. The sales dude claimed that he was losing money at that price. I did a search on CycleTrader. Nobody within driving distance was close on price. There was one in MI that was a couple of hundred cheaper. By the time I rented a trailer and paid for gas it wasn't worth it. It wasn't the deal of the century but it gets her on the road with a warranty and I was able to pay cash.

I rode it home from IP to Sunbury this afternoon. Soon it will be my wife's bike. They had a 2019 Demo S40 with 145 miles on it for just a little bit more than the used Shadows available at the moment. My perception is off because I'm used to a FZ07 and the GSXS but it wasn't bad. It will do highway speeds as long as you are a little bit patient. It was a tad bit cramped for my fat ass but it will be perfect for the wife if she takes to it. If not I might just use it as a commuter bike during the summer. We'll see. In a few hours Christmas will either be epic or completely fucked. Stay tuned.
