  1. I don't know, most bike paths seem to be put in as cheap as possible with no budget planned for repairs once they start falling apart of their own accord/paved too close to trees with shallow roots.
  2. The program to collect tax will cost more than the taxes collected. How does what feel? having 25% users illegally uninsured?
  3. My 2yo mesh jacket suddenly feels venerable. My old one had pads sewn on the chest, new is all mesh. Odd cause when I commuted city only in 100deg+ i just wore a single layer mesh motocross armor. Chicks dug it.
  4. Firex First Alert...All department store brands are all made by the same assholes with no option to defect manufacturers after a bad experience. wearing out is supposed to weak battery beep not false alarm.
  5. apparently the alarms come pre triggered out of the box? but the powered on reset from the instructions doesn't work?. have to use generic hard unpowered reset found on internet. 3rd old basement alarm still went off when plugged in. Even with the interconnect wire chopped. Un powered reset didn't help, powered reset non networked did. All good for now until I update the old one or replace new one's backup batteries.
  6. no dice. 2 of same brand of new alarms will not plug in without undisablable continued alarms. MFH
  7. I tried to update another old detector with the same one i installed last and they go off again as soon as it's plugged no button pushing or unplugging them does anything. one plugged in and one in my hand both keep going off took em both down and threw them under towlels in a closset and after 5 min and damaged hearing they stop. Was just streaming a movie and the movie has a mega loud smoke alarm go off.. maybe the connectors that physically fit each detector expect to be wired different polarity? that would be dumb tomorrow i'll try with hearing protection or i'm having smoke detector batting practice.
  8. newer chain more often instead of running the most expensive chain longer? So the Shinkos don't feel outclassed were the chain tools made in japan? you cleaned the factory grease off before install then the internal grease came out?? Techs say its more if an anti shelf corrosion grease than lube and to clean/lube it at install
  9. If JT is sub par why don't DID chains break their sprockets? These days any top "brand" can take a crap in a box and slap a logo on it. Ref Shoei thread. Curiosity. Some brands rest on their laurels selling at the same price and others push development.
  10. Tsubaki's on it now, no endorsement?
  11. I want to try out one of these two x-ring chains Bikemaster made in Japan https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011J0QLLG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1TFBK3C7LO58P&psc=1 claims better round rivets/ad shows quad rivets? 12. did you pop the 500 mi cherry then? you just need to wear the crust off, they're probably softer underneath Were the bars as bad as claimed or were they designed to fit old man arms?
  13. can you warm up the gasket then close it and see if it resets and seals?
  14. TIL presoaking pasta absorbs water and you only need to heat it up to eat it.
