I plan to head towards Hocking Hills tomorrow. I’ll be in New Concord around 10, Glouster around 11. Pace will be my normal, medium-fast to fast. I however am not as familiar with the area so it may not be quite as fast. Photo is my plan once I get off 83. Not sure on my return trip yet. Let me know if you’re interested.

Trump 2020 Keep America Great

I was not able to take my trip to Hocking Hills yesterday. I was about an hour into my trip and I noticed one of my freshly rebuilt forks was leaking worse than it was prior to the rebuild. I turned around and headed straight for the shop that rebuilt the forks. They told me to leave the bike and they’d fix it. I took the bike home, pulled the fork myself, and took it up to them. They told me they’d have it finished by 4. Sure enough they were finished but not confident they fixed it because they found no issues upon disassembly. I reassembled and test rode today for about 100 miles around home and all seems good. The rest of my week is busy with my girls at our county fair. I hope to ride next week. I’m hoping to ride multiple days. Maybe a day or 2 during the week and hopefully Saturday. I’ll post details when I get it all figured out.

I’m coming across 78. New Concord 10 AM, Glouster 11AM is my guess. I was going to try to repeat your route around the area.

Got my forks back. Guy charged me $125 to do them. I thought that was too cheap so I gave him $150. I installed the forks, made a test run and cleaned it up. Plan to try to ride to Hocking Hills tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

I just followed the directions and it worked as advertised. 🤷‍♂️

So my quad gets abused weekly if not daily. My seat wore a hole through the aluminum subframe. I decided to give the simple solutions aluminum welding rods a shot. The stuff seems to work great. You can see in the pictures I even grinded on the stuff. It was tough stuff. It may have even grinded harder than normal aluminum. hole Patch for the hole Welding equipment Welded and ground

We have a local pizza shop that puts bacon on their buffalo chicken pizza and it’s the best I’ve ever had. I know folks that are from the Cleveland area that camp at a campground near my home and they can’t get enough of the stuff.

@B-Mac it’s not looking promising. I’m supposed to call Thursday if I don’t hear from the shop I dropped my forks off at. Only way I’ll make it is if I get a call before then.

I’d love to ride buddy but I’m not sure my forks will be completed in time. If they are finished in time I’ll post back here.

Parts for my forks came to the house today, so I removed the them. I’ll drop everything off to a local shop Monday. Hopefully they can get them done quickly.

Summary of my adventures: Wife told me she needed me to feed animals this morning, so I got a later start. Fog was thick for 1st 45min of the ride. It was like rain essentially. I had some tough guy wannabe cop get out of his truck on 26 and give me crap for passing him. Shortly after I decided to hike this trail on 260. You can tell from this picture why that was a bad idea. I was raining sweat. Then at my last fuel stop for the day I discovered I have a leaky fork seal. It’s hard to believe it took this long for one to leak. The bike is 14 years old and has 56.5k miles. These issues had little effect on my day. I got 540 miles in and had a blast. The past 2 times I ran through SEO I took 550. Today I ran 676. I think I prefer 676.
