    Ride Saturday 9-7

I’m thinking we’ll be headed your way from Lisbon. 164S to 9S into Cadiz to 22W to 285 to 70 to 83 (New Concord around 10AM) to 313 over to 555. I’ll get a map together tomorrow, we can come up with a meet spot that doesn’t have you travel so far north, unless you want to do that.

    Ride Saturday 9-7

I did that last weekend on 4 wheels. Maybe next time our schedules will match.

    Ride Saturday 9-7

We’ll see if anybody else wants to ride and then go from there. I’m thinking around 8.

    Ride Saturday 9-7

Rick, no matter which route I take I’ll be getting off rt11 at 154(Lisbon). There’s a BP right there that I think wouldn’t be too far from you. As far as keeping up, run your pace I’ll keep you in my mirror. When we’ve rode in the past you were pretty much right there. If that’s because you were pushing, just back out of it and if you start to fade I’ll slow down. You can even lead if you like and I’ll follow. Any preference which way we head?

    Ride Saturday 9-7

I'm planning to ride Saturday. Anybody else riding? I'm thinking of running 555 to 550 or maybe to the end. I'd be up for a ride into WV, 250 to 7. If others prefer the normal run down 83,78,377 I could do that as well. I need to try to be back in Jefferson by 5 is my only requirement. Anybody up for a ride? My guess is the pace would be my normal med-fast to fast. Chime in if your interested.
  6. @TimTheAzn what’s up with the leg hanging? And congrats
  7. Just finished evicting the squealing pig from my gas tank. The initial test seems good, but since I go back to work tomorrow and the holiday weekend coming it will be awhile before I can give it a full day ride test.
  8. At some point please share what roads you are riding. I enjoy riding new roads to me that are good.
  9. My fuel light comes on between 130-140 miles. I often run close to those numbers. It usually takes around 3.5 gallons or so to fill it on a run like that. I don’t think I’ve ever had to 4 gallons in it. Supposedly it has a 4.8 gallon tank. Having a gallon or more left on a less than 5 gallon tank is not close to empty to me. LMK if you think different I should specify the pumps I have went through. 1)The original-somewhat understandable, 2) used OEM eBay- so?, 3) the current highflow-I asked the rep if there were known problems with this pump; his comment was “occasionally you get a bad egg” 4) is in the mail-hoping for better luck.
  10. I maybe got 5k on it. I almost messaged you to ask you if yours was noisy. When I was messing with it today it was noisy on initial prime once the bike was warmed up. If I cycled it twice it was quiet. That was enough for me to call it done. On a positive note highflow was great to deal with. They are shipping me a new pump for the cost of shipping only-$9. I don’t have to return the old pump or anything.
  11. Once again I have a fuel pump on it’s way out(squealing like a pig). I just contacted highflow and they are sending me a new one under warranty. I’m not sure what the heck I’m doing wrong but this will be the 4th pump in like 4yrs. I’m getting good at swapping them out.
  12. I rode this today in reverse, but skipped Thompson Ridge. It was an awesome route. It would have been even better if all the roads were dry. I will definitely be riding this again. Thanks for the route Brian.
  13. Rode over 580 miles today. Quite a few miles on damp roads but never really got rained on. I seemed to roll through my route shortly after the rain fell most of the day. Felt her slip a couple times, just a reminder that I needed to slow down for the road conditions.
  14. The 1st time I went to Mid Ohio a guy on a new Duc went off the track. He rode it out quite a ways in the grass but eventually went down. I have video of the whole thing because I slowed down a bit. In the tail end of the video you see his legs flopping around in the air as he takes a couple of rolls. He was fine, so I laugh every time I think about the video. His rolls are cartoon like.
  15. I have stuff going this Monday, but possibly the following week Monday or Tuesday. 92 degrees seems a bit warm, I hope you boys don’t melt.
  16. Maybe it’s a sign I just need to go ahead use mine myself
  17. I’ve got one. $157.50 is what I paid and I’d sell it for the same if you want it.
  18. New Martinsville is 3hrs. No different than New Concord, so that could work. What’s the farthest north eastern corner of your Hocking route?
  19. Maybe next Friday you can give me a guided tour of your Hocking Hills route.
  20. Pre-calculus and Algebra 2. Sophomores-Seniors. Are you available this week at all?
  21. Thanks for the laughs on the video. The other part on my lunch choices is the fact that I’m cheap. Gustatory, parenthetically- Ed remember I’m a math teacher that lives in Ashtabula county, on a farm, with a construction background = smaller words. August 28th is my first day back. The kids don’t start until after Labor Day. We are building new elementary schools and they want to have as much time as possible to finish.
  22. I know my cbr clutch fluid is to be inspected every 4K and changed every 12k. I have never had trouble with it going into gear. I flush it every 12k. The bike now has 50k. I feel for you every time you post about your bike giving you issues. You and Andy are really hurting my Honda love.
  23. Come on now Brian, Arby’s is good stuff. I can’t eat like a hog and then go out and tear up 26.
  24. If rides were never posted I for sure would have missed out. It’s how I met every single one of you on here. Most guys outside this forum I talk to about riding for over an hour think I’m crazy. I would say we are a rare breed and all of the posted rides I have been on only bring out experienced mature riders. Obviously excluding the epic rides but that has multiple groups and if you go with med-fast to fast group I have never experienced any problems. If someone complains about the way a person organizes a ride, the road that led them to that ride also can lead them home. Jacob organized a ride a couple years ago and the group was a bit large, but we had a blast as multiple guys swapped lead. Doc bottom line is do as you please. There are times when I don’t post anything because I just want to ride solo. My experience has been when I post I only see experienced, quality riders show up. And as far as all this butt hurt crap people talk about, this isn’t Girl Scouts. Save the drama for your mama.
