  1. Gotcha. Scenery is low on my rating scale, but I have to admit there is something about BRP that totally puts me in a relaxed mood. I did slow down up there and actually take in the sights. The rest of your ratings are of high importance to me. I can understand why the dragon is low on your list due to traffic, but I have ran it multiple times on weekdays during non-peak hours (early morning/later evening) and have had some great runs through it, so it makes my top 10.
  2. So Tim what is the order you’d list the roads you’ve traveled? I know you’ve rode more than I have.
  3. How in the world are you so thin? I’d be 500lbs if I ate like this.
  4. She’s 16. She’ll be 17 in November.
  5. At one point she had interest in getting her own, but fizzled after I got her a dirt bike. Probably best she doesn’t. No matter how much I tell her not to drive like her dad and slow down she doesn’t. I know, do as I say not as I do rarely works.
  6. No problems with my back or hers. Knees are what bother both of us. My hips, butt, and neck get sore at times. We usually have to stop about every hour, so occasionally just take a little longer break. I’ve thought about the handles in the past, but don’t see it helping my issues. Someday I’ll get wise and buy a sport tourer. Maybe once both girls are through college and I can afford it.
  7. Rode close to 300 miles today with my oldest daughter. We both had a blast.

    No upshifts

Do you use the clutch every time you shift?
  9. B-Mac I would love to ride with you, but I’m going to take my daughter for a ride on Tuesday. She has not rode with me all summer and we are both free then. I plan to ride again next week before fair week wrecks all of my plans the first week of August.
  10. How many miles is this ride? I keep wanting to make a week run through Hocking, but I’m unfamiliar with the area. I want to make the ride worth my time.
  11. Rode it all over SEO. Top number 561.9 is miles from today and the old girl now has over 50K.

Thanks for the heads up. I’m bummed you couldn’t make it, but totally get it. For the rest of you I’m in Cadiz. 10 should be no problem for me. If the roads you’re traveling are anything like what I just came off be aware of gravel. Not terrible but it has popped up here and there from all the rain.

I have a wife. If I end up in jail it will be the least of my concerns. I have no plans to end up in jail. We may skip the 260-7-800 portion to save on time. We’ll see where we’re at when we hit Marietta.

Just gassed the bike up, checked the tires, and fluids. All systems are a go. Looking forward to seeing you all around 10. @Howabusa and @Blitz hope both of you can make it.

    Ride 7/12 or 7/13

I’m planning to ride this Friday or Saturday. I’m thinking my usual 83-78-377-555-676-7-Lunch-26-260-800-26-260-145. I’m leaning towards this route because I have a desire to ride a faster pace. If you’re interested let me know. I’m guessing I’d be in New Concord at 10-10:15, leave by 10:30 for sure. I can ride either day.
  20. Glad you were able to fix it and get it all back together.
  21. I have similar values. I’m not sure I’d be as fast as you are but I’m comfortable riding my own pace if you’re faster than me. I’d be willing to meet up and ride sometime. I ride solo quite often, so if it’s no bueno I have no problem splitting off and going separate.
  22. I’m not 100% sure, but again if the bike thinks it’s in gear the clutch will need pulled and side stand up. That would be my experiment. I think TPoppa gave some good advice as well. I would be focusing on the neutral switch not the stand switch if it were in my garage.
  23. If you’re neutral light is flickering that could be part of the problem not a separate issue. If the bike thinks it’s in gear it won’t turn over unless you pull the clutch. You also mentioned when you had the kickstand up you had your issue. What about the kickstand switch/sensor? I know if my stand is down and the bike is in gear it won’t turn over even if the clutch is pulled. Next time it won’t turn over pull the clutch in and be sure your stand is up and see if it won’t fire. I think it might be the neutral switch/sensor.
