Tim you may want to tell them to check the flywheel. I know the cbr 929 had charging issues and some guys were finding the magnets in the flywheel were screwed up. I know I would not be comfortable with them just replacing what they just did. Especially with the big trip you have planned.

Just confirms my thoughts to stay the heck away from morons on the road. No sense in engaging them, probably nothing good will come from it. Hope they lock the idiot up and never allow them behind the wheel again.

Doc thanks for leading me around this morning. I had a great time. First time I ever rode 152 and really liked it, even if a couple of corners caught me off guard. It was great to see you again. Nice to meet you Al. I hope to see you again. Dan it was great to meet you in person too. Thanks for the tip. I tried to put that adjustment into practice as I ran home. Definitely a different feel and will take sometime to get used to. Pauly nice to see you again. Not sure how to respond to the Honda comment. You obviously get that there is nothing more reliable, yet you call it boring. I guess it somewhat answers the question I had for you at the epic ride as to why you choose Ducati. Glad the bikes ran good and I'm jealous you saw no cops. I saw them everywhere. Some of that was the fact I ran route 11 to get home. Even with Nivin, however, we spotted cops. Thanks again for saving me a ticket on 170 Doc. I would have for sure been done for if I was riding solo. I love to rip through that area. Good day overall got 5 hrs in riding and made it home on time to help my wife get my daughter's b-day party organized. Thanks for letting my Honda tag along in your Suzuki party gentlemen.

I'm in gentlemen. I may have to head home before the end of the ride but I will see you at 8.

Not sure where all your heading. I ride 164 to 9 to 250 quite often and am familiar with that area. I may still be in. I just have feel out what my wife is thinking. We have a birthday party for my daughter in the evening @ my house so it may be a hard sell. I will get back today with a for sure yes or no.

About an hr north of Canfield. I actually rode with Derek's group this year at the epic ride and it was a good pace for me. If I end up riding tomorrow I will have to be back to Canfield by noon, so I'm thinking it may be best to meet up with you guys another time. I don't want to be the guy that messes things up.

I will sure up what is going on tomorrow and get back to you.

Doc this is a possibility for me. Are you are running 164 south from meet spot?
-
Congrats on the new bike. From what I have read about those they seem sweet. Definitely unique.

Nobody was asking about your junk. That may have been too much information.

Whaler are those rides always posted on the forum?

How much for the go-pro?

Got home around 6:30. 530 miles today. I too have the sore neck but by the end of the season this will not be a problem for me either. It was great to see those I met last year and meet some new faces as well. Derek, Connie14, Ricer1, Whaler, Wolfman, and Jacob thanks for allowing me to ride with you guys. I had a blast. Hope I get to ride again with you guys. Derek thanks for organizing all of this and leading our group. Hellmutt sorry to hear you went down. I did not know anything about it until I read it hear. Glad your ok. -

Wife gave me the ok. I plan on making this tomorrow as long as my knee feels good. Over did it this week and fighting swelling in the knee I had acl surgery on. I'll ride with Hellmutt or a medium fast group. -

Probably out for sure if it moves to Sunday. If weather is crap not sure I'll be there tomorrow. -
I agree on the fact that I typically am farther than 100 miles away. That's why my thought has always been tow me to a rental place, rent a truck and haul it myself in the truck. My guess when I'm somewhere like tail of the dragon, that will be for sure the cheapest route. For me in the boondocks it may even be cheaper to do this if I'm in southeast Ohio.

I have AMA. It covers any vehicle as well. Called them a couple times for keys locked in vehicle. What I would tell you in those instances is it will be awhile before they get there. I think they have a limited number of providers. I use them because for $50 a year it also supports a group that looks out for motorcyclists and lobbies for your rights as a rider.
-
I hope you're right. Btw it would be easier to trust you if you had a different forum name.

This may work for me. I will confirm later in the week, if that's alright with you.

I have only spooned on 1 set of tires, but my experience was just the opposite. Removing the wheels was the easy part, removing and mounting the tires was the pain for me. Granted I have removed the wheels multiple times. If it eventually becomes easier to mount the tires I will be so happy.

I typically don't negotiate unless it's in person as well. I usually communicate through text or call. Do you use email only?
-
You never even had a guy text you with a crazy low offer or someone drive an hour and half just to tire kick? What is your secret? I have bought a few bikes to flip. Usually post the bike at blue book price or a couple hundred below. I have successfully sold all of them, but have dealt with my fair share of douche bags.

I usually just hit the chain with a rag with some kerosene right after a ride while the chain is still warm to clean. Then I dry it a bit with a clean rag and finally spray it with some chain lube. I have done just the clean and lube with wd40, but it does not last as long. When on long trips, like when I went to the Dragon last year I did use wd at the end of each day. I just bought a small can and kept it in my tail bag.

I decided to try the PR2s because I was going through a Conti rear every 4,000 miles and that seemed like every time I turned around I needed new tires. I was also buying and paying a local shop for the Conti's and having them installed there for about $300 total. So I decided to buy a set of PR2s from Rocky Mountain for $260 and some tire irons and install them myself. Ended up being about the same cost for me and now I have some new tools and skills.
-
IP for years I have been running ContiMotions and have been content. Last night I spooned on some PR2s. Still not the PR4s being discussed here, but I think I noticed a big difference on the test run last night. Bike felt much much smoother. Now it may just be in my head or the fact that it was time for new tires, but if it is in fact just the tires are that much better. I can't imagine what the 4s would be like.
