  1. It's a possibility. Put some miles on it today it's pretty solid just been neglected a bit. Little bit of fueling issue because somebody thought pilot jets were adjustment screws for mains. Gonna go through carbs and clean em up. Jets and full exhaust on order. This ones not getting chopped just tweaked a bit.
  2. This will be one of very few sightings of it in stock form.
  3. That's to damn fast! Shoulda posted a smaller pic. Couldn't pass it up 9,000 mile bike. Good odds I'll fall down the rabbit hole with this one just like the last one. Already started hunting parts.
  4. Picked up another low mile new to me bike today. Can anybody here name that motor.
  5. Probably just a little seafoam still in the mix
  6. Thought I recognized a few of the bikes that slipped through town this morning.
  7. Qman it was good to meet and ride with you. If I don't bump into you before the Epic ride I'll see you then.
  8. Thanks man. I was headed home myself. Great day to ride and lots of good asphalt headed to and from the river. Always good to bump into guys I've been riding with. That Ducati sounds great!
  9. Yep. I've got no other big plans today so time is negotiable
  10. I've been running the 90* the last 2 or 3 changes and have had no issues. Was a little Leary of them at first due to cheap price but they had great reviews. I think brand is Myers. $2 each at Jake Wilson
  11. Will be heading south out of New Concord tomorrow to put some miles on and knock the dust off the zrx. Anyone plan on riding south tomorrow wanna meet up. Thinking of heading to hocking or to the river. Medium ish pace.
  12. Finished up race tech springs, Fork service and new shocks on the mean streak as well as a set of nomad floorboards. Shocks dropped the ass end almost 2" so the floorboards give a nice warning before hard parts start digging. All brake/clutch fluid flushed made a big difference it was like mud. Then took it for layed back ride. In my eyes the zrx is just about perfect so I took it for a longer much more spirited ride.
  13. Saturday was a great day on the bikes. I took off in the morning on the meanstreak and ended up at IP in Columbus . Made my way to millersburg and covered 83 south to mcconnelsville and 2 laned it home. Saturday was my birthday so we had some cake and I got gifts. The wife had payed attention to me drooling over helmets at the shop. She had picked up a Simpson carbon ghost lid!! Nice helmet and extremely light so I had to try it out. I jumped on the zrx and enjoy abou another 100 miles of southeast Ohio asphalt. The helmet felt great. Though I enjoyed time on both bikes they are definitely two different animals. The mean streak is fast fun and stable but the zrx paints a big smile on my face as soon as I make it out of city limits and keeps it there.
  14. I would defiantly replace tires with that much age on them. There's nothing like the feel of fresh tires anyhow. In my experience with Kawasaki inline motors a little noise at idle isn't a bad thing. When they get quite its most likely in desperate need of valve adjustment. Reed valves do have a tick at idle and if it bothers you can easily be blocked off. As mentioned by Whaler cam chain noise should come in to play after spooling it up and cutting the throttle.
  15. I asked this question years ago when getting my permit. Answer I got was the same thing you would do if you didn't have a permit. Unload it (empty mag if it's a semi) and lock it up out of reach separate from the ammo. The instructor also recommend pulling the slide if a semi. Same deal if traveling through a state that does not recognize our permits. Obviously if it's on your hip pass on the beer. Also very helpful if your wife has permit as well.
  16. Almost got fork fluid and spring swap finished up on the meanie. Ended up about 3oz short on fluid so guess it's a trip to jegs tomorrow.
  17. I have this helmet in a different graphic. Great helmet in the heat it flows a ton of air. She'll size is noticeably smaller than my other scorpion helmet so no bobble head. Best part for me is the way it cuts the wind. Very stable helmet. Much less strain on the neck means more comfortable long days on a naked bike.
  18. I got one of the forks off my mean streak and was able to tear it down. This bike has separate function forks and they're a pain to work on. Got the hard one apart so it shouldn't be bad now. New springs this weekend.

  20. Keys are overrated. Motogadget M-Lock. I really like the RFID setup.
