  1. Pretty sure Rick Roush Motorsports cuts keys.
  2. This post reminds me of some advice I got from another forum. If you have to change those stem bearings pick up a craftsman 8" locking flex head pry bar. Hands down best tool I've used to knock out those blind lower races. Two cracks with a hammer and out they come. New tools are always a good thing.
  3. Picked up a mustang seat and a sissy bar to make the wife happy. Hooped up a fresh set of Angel gt A spec's. Waiting on a big air kit, block off plates and a power commander for me.
  4. Yeah I'm kind partial to Kawasaki. Color was just a coincidence it's the cleanest one I've seen. Original owner and 5,800miles. Maybe next time I seem to find myself at mid-Ohio quite often. Picked this one up from an individual not the dealership. I've never been much of a cruiser guy either but I always liked these. Handles A lot better than expected.
  5. Today I bought my first cruiser and took my first ride in sideways snow. Picked up an 06 Kawi Meanie and rode it home from Mt Vernon. Cold snowy ride but worth it. My ZRX needed a stablemate.
  6. The Chatterbox Tavern just off the square and the River Queen just across the river are both good spots for lunch. Never had a bad experience with either one.
  7. After 3 straight days of February riding I gave it a well needed bath and some chain lube.
  8. That fella was definitely in no hurry when he got to the engine house. I wasn't sure what kinda vehicle it was but never considered volunteer fireman. Around here they are usually red/blue and a big old siren. Looked like a mail carrier (unlikely on Sunday) or a security vehicle from one of the local well sites in my rear view mirror. Seems every time I'm over that way I get stuck behind one of those trucks. Sunday was the first time I felt lucky about it afterwards.
  9. Had some luck years ago with a good direct to metal primer. Prep, prime, sand smooth and repeat. Should be able to get a nice smooth surface in a couple coats.
  10. Plan to meet up with you guys in mcconnelsville. May catch up with the group near new concord if I see you going through
  11. Almost got finished up last night. New headlight mounted. Exhaust done. Got new wheels back from powdercoat and hooped up a set of Angel GT's . Couple little things to finish and maybe I'll be able to make one of the rides a few of the members are throwing together this weekend.
  12. If you go with new boots check to see if the triumph has o-rings between boot and motor. Some of the Kaws do and I didn't realize it so I had to wait another week on the o-rings when doing mine
  13. New headlight mocked up last night. Pretty sure I'm gonna like it.
  14. I use a motion pro tool. Nothing fancy but won't break the bank. Has worked great for me.
  15. Nice work! Airbrush? If so how's it spray. Did you use the air dry or bake it? I've done a good bit with duracoat and always wanted to try cerakote.
  16. 1976 kz750. Rode that bike about 5 miles before stripping it to bare frame and redoing it. Was my first bike and first project. Been stuck on Kawasaki ever since
  17. I've stripped the headlight along with all brackets and such off the bike. Got a new mt03 headlight on the way. Liked the look of my bike after last years tear down but the front and back look like they came from different decades. Time to modern up the front a bit.
  18. Guess I'll be that guy. Love the xdm. Had the 45 and have the 9mm both in the 5.25" barrel with target rear and fiber optic front sight. Those guns are very well suited for burning through hundreds of rounds of ammo popping steel plates. That's why I only have the 9mm now.
  19. Same here. A little snow earlier but now it's putting it down pretty good. Sucks. Gonna need another project bike to get thru winter
  20. Also meeting up with another rider or two in New Concord 11:00. Most likely headed toward 555. Gotta feeling lots of guys will be calling in sick tomorrow.
  21. Put a little over a hundred miles on the zrx yesterday then checked greased and tightened the steering head bearings. Just happy to get it out of the garage this late in the season.
  22. Mine were done 13 years ag and I'd absolutely do it again if for some reason I needed to. Eyes were sandy feeling for a day or two and dry enough I needed eye drops for a couple weeks. No problem since. Done at Bloomberg in Newark . Paid cash but I think back then they had a 0% finance option back then and consultation was free.
  23. Hands down best gloves I've purchased have been a pair of Five gloves. They are a little pricey but my current pair just started to fray some seems and such after 2 seasons and 16,000 miles on the bike. I think mine are the stunt model, very well vented, lots of protection and felt broke in day one.
