Wait.. when did you meet my family?
  3. I just put a new climbing toy together. I have to test ride and make fit adjustments before I wrap the bar, but it will be dialed in by May. We should get together and ride. I am nowhere near in shape enough to do more than 20 miles at anything hot enough to call quick, but am very fired up to get back to "a quick 50 miles after work" condition. Three years ago I was crushing 30-50 mile rides on my fixed gear. Now I throw a sheet over it so I can't see it mocking me. Time to make a change, for sure. I had nothing remotely close to your experience happen to me, but I am still rebuilding myself from my last peronal Michael Bay Production. If you are looking for company that you are probably faster than.. I am your guy.

Nope. But you know 100% for sure there are baddies inside. Figuring out the best place to be in a shootout is key. Some place where a hailstorm of defense rounds can be fired at a single entry point is a pretty good start.

At least this is a plan.

Then do what you must to collect them and exit the house? The goal is not saving the house. The goal is exiting the scenario with minimal loss of life. What happens to your family when you get shot trying to hunt down an anknown enemy? Now they are 100% defenseless because the only person with a "plan" is now dead. You have zero idea how many, what they are armed with and how serious the threat happens to be. Looking for the baddies doesn't make sense from a tactical perspective. This goes to the actual preparedness of your family in case of an emergency. Figuring it out beforehand is what saves lives. Playing "John Rambo" when actual lives are on the line is ignorant.

Fatal funnel. We do not "clear" houses. G.I. Joe does that. Retreat to the most secure room in the house if you cannot escape. Point the barrel at the entry point for that room and call 911. Tell them where you are and that you are prepared to use deadly force. "Clear the house".

Pump-action 12 gauge loaded with buckshot. If you are asking "which gun", I am going to assume your experience with firearms is not a lot. They are easy to use and hard to accidentally kill yourself with.

  10. $2500 and it's yours.
  11. I picked up a 2004 Ninja 250 w/ 6k miles for $1,000 last summer. He was asking $1700.
  12. I don't have anything for sale. I was just offering an often overlooked approach for new riders. I think we all sort of take the knowledge of riding for granted. Plus, for a lot of women, and quite a few men, motorcycles are heavy and intimidating. This adds to the anxiety.
  13. Does she have an aversion to scooters? Those can be cheap, reliable and take a lot of stress out of learnig how to navigate traffic and getting famiar with two-wheeled maneuvers. She can learn the fundamentals of motorcycle safety and ease into the mechanical inputs. She will have braking and countersteering under her belt, which will make focusing on shifting less daunting.
  14. How some places stay in business is astounding.
  15. I don't know the answer. Hence the question.
  16. What are the likely ramifications for China when the dust finally settles? When does the world finally get off its ass and do something about China and North Korea?
  17. Way to social distance, Ed. Why not let him lick you? Jesus..
  18. So, that is essentially the end of the "China made it" conspiracy?
  19. "There is still lots to learn..."
  20. It takes a tough man to make a tender chicken.
  21. You should watch more. He uses the center stand to break the tire bead and spoons the tire off in about 10 seconds. That is why he straps the stand and locks the brake.
