Indy 500

Ten years too late, my man. Indy is well past it's prime. The Speedway Museum is a must see so that you can at least get a sense of the greatness that was once there.

WTF is this?

107hp out of a T3? It'd see your car and surrender. tongue.gif
3. That was fast. Nice to see that Ford reads CR. tongue.gif
4. Yes, a repost. There is some stuff to like. The front end is good, but the car is horrible in that orange. Ditch the stickers. Paint the hood, which otherwise looks fine. The rims and tires are hot, the front fender vents are acceptable if they are functional. The flares are keepers. Side exhaust is okay, but wtf is up with that huge chrome plate?? Gone. Replace it with brushed stainless and ONLY enough to keep the exhaust from staining the car. Ditch the ludicrous wing and the fake metal fuel filler door. Side skirts are decent enough to keep. Keep the Shelby ripoff tails and the blocked off quarter windows, which make it look like the Mustang concept. I love the roll cage and stripped interior. Cover the whole thing in black or a metallic grey, put a kick ass suspension under it with the four cam motor, and maybe you have something. A Mustang on a road racing mission is something I can get into. Oh, and come up with an original name.
5. Damn, look who popped back up! Where you been? John Kerry would not have noticed your absence.
6. Yeah, I'll definitely be watching it this weekend. Good thing wingless is incognito. John Kerry would just slow the fuck down.
7. NA Automatic with narrow-ass wheels and fake Veilside body kit. Seems priced about right to me. graemlins/thumbsdown.gif John Kerry would sell the POS and buy something fuel efficient -- like an Excursion. [ 27. May 2004, 01:18 AM: Message edited by: WWJKD? ]
8. Keith, I saw your car out at Matt's -- it looks great. How does the powerband feel? Does it pull to redline and maintain boost up top? I would expect the midrange and spool to be pretty solid.
9. Mmmmm....waffles! http://home.frognet.net/~mitias/smilies/yumyum%5B1%5D.gif
10. My Integra never had a single problem in 6 years and 80k miles (until I stuffed it into a wall exiting a 110mph sweeper at PIR, that is. Screw FWD ).
11. And butt-ugly. Bad tradeoff.

14. Someone tell me why they support John Kerry. Not why they hate Bush, we know that already. "Bush is evil." "Bush works for the oil companies." "Bush is dumb." "Bush tortures small puppies for fun." Whatever. What is Kerry going to do for this country? Does anyone even know or care? Eli told me the other day that Kerry is "avoiding controversial issues." I responded, "He's avoiding issues, period." I just want to hear some reasons why anyone would support this guy other than the fact that he's not Bush.
15. There one was a girl named Ann Arbor, Who picked up her men down at the harbor. One day she got sick, from riding strange dick, and now she emits a foul odor... graemlins/puke.gif tongue.gif
16. Iraq is about the safety of the US. - Since 1991, US troops have been stationed in Saudi to protect Saudi from Hussein. Hussein attacked Saudi during Gulf War I because they were our allies. We owed them protection from him, and it was requested by the Saudi government - Al Qaida used the presence of US troops to propandize for fundraising and recruiting. They attacked Khobar Towers, the African embassies, the WTC (first try), and USS Cole, before 9/11. Each time they claimed their reason was the presence of US troops in Saudi. - To reduce the ability of Al Qaida to recruit and fundraise, removal of US troops from Saudi is a reasonable goal. This could not be done if Saudi was threatened by Hussein. - Ergo, to wit and therefore, removing Saddam Hussein from power allows us to get US troops out of Saudi Arabia and enhances our national security. Next issue.
17. Translation: "You citizens made us look bad. We don't spend all day eating donuts and handing out traffic tickets. Oh, err, wait. Never mind." Translation #2: "You can't catch criminals if you're not a union member." What is a police officer if he's not a regular citizen like the rest of us?
18. Leave it to the Francophile to stifle political discourse! http://www.columbusracing.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=26;t=002287;p=3 I think he's just cocky because Renault finally won a race. Booo Jones. You and your beloved Frenchies suck! graemlins/nutkick.giftongue.gif
19. Dude, chill. It's an election year and this is politics. In the United States we sure as hell don't censor political discussion. Enjoy the fact that you're an American and that you are entitled to participate in this thread. graemlins/thumb.gif Even though you are totally wrong about everything. tongue.gifgraemlins/nutkick.gif

21. Your thread title "The draft will Start in 2005". Sorry to distract away from your attention-grabbing headline, but it is in error. Clearly you are either implying that you believe these bills will pass, or you wish to make others believe that. We have had several threads on this board about this topic, and while I understand that those of you in the target range are scared stupid about this prospect, understand this: a draft is BAD POLICY for the modern military, and it is BAD POLITICS for elected officials to vote for. These bills have been proposed for the sole purpose of generating more anti-war sentiment. It will be a cold day in hell before the draft is ever reinstated in this country. BTW, those of you voting for the first time this year should take a very careful look at the party affiliations of the authors of those bills. You should also investigate whether Bush or Kerry have advocated a draft. The current Secretary of Defense had this to say: Rumsfeld, while commenting on a bill introduced to initiate the draft, said it was unnecessary. "We're not going to re-implement a draft," he said Tuesday. "There is no need for it at all." He is on the record with numerous comments explaining the low value of drafted soldiers and the amount of training the require. He does not see draftees as having any use in the modern military. Don't want a draft? I guess you'd better think real hard about voting for Bush.
22. That car needs to visit a road course this summer.
23. Good. Maybe the Army can teach some people reading comprehension. "Pending legislation". Anyone care to define the word "pending" for me?
