  3. I originaly took it there just to have it cleaned, then they said it needed bored. Fowlers did all the balancing and Hypo stuff. Lesson learned. graemlins/finger.gif
  4. Second block, after NAPA over bored the first one. Fire it up for 15mins, shut it down to check things over and to go thru the first heat cycle, go to fire it back up and it's SEIZED! Tore it down to the short block and one of the cylinders is hosed, looks like one of the rings hung up or something, I have no clue. I'm to the point of rancor and rage. I can't go back up there for the fear I might hurt someone. I'm going to call corporate and see what they can do for me, if not it's time to get an attorney involved.
  5. Basically I may need some help dealing with the machine shop that did the work on my Mustang. I'm sick of dealing with them and the whole situation. I wasn't sure what I have to work with. Rick, I may hit you up later on this week. Thanks, BC
  6. Just heat the yoke with a blow torch and it should slip right together with the vice.

  15. Ok, so I was building a 306, put it all together, triple checked everything, fire it up and it sounds like a diesel Ok, great...I have a diesel Mustang! Niiiice! So several people come over to listen to the Diesel mustang and no one can figure out what the problem is. Tear it down to the short block TWICE! No luck! So I take the engine completly out and STILL no sign of what the problem is! This was my biggest fear. So I call my engine shop guy, he comes over to Mic the cylinder bores and guess what?? They over bored the cylinders!~!!!! (&*%(*$^(%^*@#%#^*#^& Ridenred27 called it....piston slap, sounds lovely I gotta tell ya. So now I'm back to square 1 and out $200 in gaskets and about 24hrs of my life. DAMN THIS HOBBY! Ok, thanks for listening Rant off
