  1. I should add that when I cut down the one I used stump-out on, I cut it almost to ground level, leaving just enough to get the side holes drilled into it. You can probably cut it to damn-near ground level and dig around it for drilling side holes if you're up for some digging. Less stump = less time, obviously.
  2. I just read the warning on my sun visor and that's pretty much what it says. http://thertpblog.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/myth-confirmed.jpg It also seems to indicate that airbags will knock an infant's brain clean out of it's socket.
  3. So, the new name of this thread should be "Every SUV Ever LOL".
  4. Maybe he had a caliper dragging and drove around for a while spraying super-hot pad material/dust into the clearcoat. I have seen heavy clearcoat damage from really agressive brake pads before (looking at you, Carbotech), but maybe stock pads could do the same under the right conditions. Seems like no one lubes the fucking caliper slider pins on those silly GM/Dodge products... :gabe: Actually, most of my vehicles have used a similar slider setup. Including the Jeep of course.
  5. What do you mean, "Other Cars"??? http://images.sodahead.com/polls/002330901/493899451_tropic_thunder_RDJ_answer_3_xlarge.jpeg
  6. My neigbor used salt on 2 of his a couple of years ago. Basically he just drilled holes and dumped a whole fucking bag of salt on each one. It took months to break down as much as this stuff did in 3-4 weeks. End result was similar, just took a while longer. He probably spent about the same money on salt too, though I just remembered I had to spend an extra $7 on a long ass 1" spade bit. :dumb:
  7. That was my first thought. The McDonalds drive-thru scene is great.
  8. If you don't find anyone to do it cheaply, have you considered the "Stump-Out" chemical method? It takes a few weeks to work, but I had good results the one time I used it. I think I actually have an extra bottle of it around here somewhere, though i think it was only $8 or less. http://www.gemplers.com/img/bonide-stump-out-160363.jpg In the end there's alot less leftover pulp in the ground than we had with grinding. The ground where we had our big tree stump ground out always holds too much water. It has to be all that pulp mixed in with the soil. You basically drill some holes in the stump, fill with the chemicals and wait for it to turn all fibrous. Then you throw some Kerosene in the holes and burn it or use smoldering charcoal.
  9. How am I supposed to text correctly if I'm looking outside my vehicle while driving? :dumb:
  10. So, I am to understand that you will remove the Pooh on the armoire upon purchase? :gabe:
  11. I more than likely would have, depending on the situation. Even if he was off duty. Not yelling it out in a crowd or anything, just a discreet "hey, just so you know..."
  12. They usually ask me if I want to add confirmation for a small fee. I always do it because I'm not a cheap ass, but I think it's optional.
  13. Okay, I think I'm about to have Coldwell Banker/King Thompson take a hike once and for all. I'm researching the pitfalls of selling it yourself currently, but I may give the Sid Huck guy that was suggested earlier a call also. Does anyone else have a realtor recommendation? Warning: tl;dr ahead: Today was the second time in a row that there was "confusion" about the showing time. The last time I eneded up waiting down the street from my own house for almost an hour becasue the people got there right when I was supposed to return home. Today I overslept and barely had time to prep the house, so I waited to shower after I returned home after the showing. Right in the middle of showering the visiting realtor and buyer come in the house. Needless to say I was a little pissed and thought they were late, but she said they clearly asked for a 2 hour window, not 1. It made for a really fucking awkward showing, to say the least. Each time my company blames the other. Maybe they're all equally usless but I just can't catch a fucking break with these people.
  14. Ha. 1993 GT500. So rare it doesn't even exist.
  15. Usually I find the cable to be more at fault than anything. I'm not sure I'd blame a cable for something as serious as actually bending the pedal, but either way it's a good start. If your cable isn't Teflon lined, replace it with one that is. Steeda or Maximum Motorsports are good choices (you must use a firewall adjuster with the MM though). JEGS usually has the Steeda cable in stock.
  16. The situation is not what you think, but it doesn't matter. EDIT: I do totally agree that this type of car is NOT for everyone though. Especially Jones.:gabe: The CL ad will be almost exactly the same as this post. It's 100% on the level and that's how I sell things to other enthusiasts.
  17. Edit: Removed rant now that my jimmies have unrustled a bit. Too much shit going on in my life has me stressed to the fucking max.
  18. A challenger appears. Too bad I'm already selling mine. :fa: Good luck on your project.
  19. This, but if that gets you nowhere it could be as simple as packing the connectors with dialectric grease to keep water out. Not as likely as failed parts, but it happens.
  20. Barkour :gabe: In Soviet Ukraine, Dog jump you!
  21. Realtors are making me fucking crazy. I'm seriously about to go get certified to be a Realtor. I'm not sure if it's actually a school or you just pay a fee to walk into a room where they smash a brick into your skull and hand you a certificate when it's clear your brain has been damaged. This time it's not my Realtor. Some people came to look at the house twice and decided they wanted to make an offer, but had some questions. Mainly if we'd be willing to close within a few days. We agreed but after 2 more days found out that they hadn't even secured a loan yet. Who the fuck goes house shopping these days without being pre-approved? I understand they may be Noobs, but how the fuck does their Realtor not mention that, especially knowing they are in such a hurry? Jesus these people are trying to make me stroke out.
  22. Del 2957 This is my second one though, I'm not sure what my first one (madison Co.) was. Probably pretty low.
